Probably a u-joint. the only way to ck yhis properly is to drop the axle side of the drive line, then check for ruff spots by moving the parts and feel for binding

My thought is if the brakes pads are sticking after you drive it a while get out and feel the center of the rim. When I have had a brake pad sticking or not releasing as it should the center of the rim or bearing cap will be real hot on the side which is sticking.
Vibration can come from several places. If you have a tire bad, say plies separating or even tires not balanced it will cause a bouncy or vibrating ride . You could need some front end work tie rod ends, ball joints or even wheel bearing. When I have had wheel bearing problem I started hearing noise from the wheel after a while.

check front end by starting car have someone rock steering back and forth look for any parts that is moving more than others. keep in mind high speed vibration can be tires, wheel bearing, trainning and mounts. have someone follow you and looking at tires for bearing if both drive tires are shaking look at training and steering. good luck
it could be center bearing, if its going bad it can also cause a vibration, make sure you have sufficient fluid in the diff as well, you can also get a noise and vibration from collapsed motor or trans mounts
check the steering arm damper shocky as it may be failing and not providing the proper dampening effect to the steering. Check the wheel bearing adjustment and condition.
Your car has bearings, which are easy enough to check. Jack the car off the ground. Grab the wheel top and bottom, pushing and pulling alternately. If there is movement felt at the center of the wheel, then this can indicate either the bearings need adjusting or replacing. The vibration could be bearings, but you don't say if the vibrations or sound vary with speed, cornering, braking or where the problems seem to be coming from on the vehicle. Which leads to the problems being any number of possibilities. Better information input usually leads to better out put information.
yes and no most warenties cover the engine and drive train, but with it being this new i still would take it back to the dealer to see if it is covered
You didn't say anything about tires and wheels, have you rotated the tires to see if the problem moves to the front of the car ? If the car is 20+ years old, the mounts for the transaxle could be worn enough to cause a vibration. And one of the axles/driveshaft could be bent.
I had similar problem with my '99 outback. Replaced the front half shafts and seemed much better. A few months later seemed to be comming back so replaced the driver side shaft again and the problem disappeared. I had put in rebuilt shafts and the driver side shaft was not rebuilt correctly.
