I have codes: po455, po123. po406 po606.p2104, po2106, p2110, & p2135 help please!

(so i cleared the code..all was fine.) No it wasn't ,you don't just clear code's without doing the diagnostic's for that code . It's just a matter of time ,when the PCM/ECM - engine computer runs that test again, that light will come back on. P0455 is a large leak in the evaporative emission system .Sorry dude but you don't stand a snow ball's chance in guam of fixing this . Do you know what electronic throttle control is ? P2135 - ETC Throttle Position (TP) Sensor A/B Voltage Correlation Description: The powertrain control module (PCM) flagged a fault indicating that TP1 and TP2 disagree, or that TP1 should not be in the present position given the position of TP2 unless a concern is present. Possible Causes:
  • TP sensor shorted internally to VREF.
  • TP sensor harness is shorted to power.
  • TP sensor signal wires are shorted together.
  • Damaged TP sensor.
Diagnostic Aids: Compare the TP1 and TP2 PID values for a full sweep and correlation. Refer to the chart in pinpoint test DV. GO to Pinpoint Test DV . Compare TP1 and TP2 PID values to the typical reference values in Section 6 . Application Key On Engine Off Key On Engine Running Continuous Memory All GO to DV4 P2110 - Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) System - Forced Limited RPM Description: The TAC system is in the failure mode effects management (FMEM) mode of forced limited RPM. Possible Causes:
  • Cross-wired TAC motor.
  • Damaged powertrain control module (PCM).
Diagnostic Aids: This DTC indicates only that the FMEM condition exists, and can be set in combination with DTCs P2100, P2101, or P2107, meaning the electronic throttle body (ETB) faults should be diagnosed first. Application Key On Engine Off Key On Engine Running Continuous Memory All GO to QE1 Do yourself a favor an take it to a qualified repair shop.

Where is 2005 mercury mountaineer fuel filter

Fuel filters can usually be found on the drivers side under carriage about middle of the vehicle. There should be a canister type filter with 2 metal lines connected to it. One on both sides of the canister. you will need to disconnect both lines and the bracket that holds the filter in place and install the new filter. I do suggest that you remove the fuel cap to try and relieve some of the fuel pressure built up in the lines before disconnecting the filter so you won't be sprayed too much with fuel. If you have any other questions please do not hestitate to ask.

How do i change the spark plugs. And how many do i need for a 2005 mercury mountaineer mariner

4 plugs for a 4 cylinder, 6 plugs for a 6 cylinder and 8 for an 8 cylinder --none for a diesel pull the coil / lead of each plug ( one at a time ) unscrew the plug using the appropriate tool and replace when you have to ask these questions it will be cheaper and quicker to get them changed professionally ( plugs cost from $8.00 each for the cheapest to $25.00 each for top quality lines ) AS efi plugs seldom need changing but you have a problem like a misfire, run the fault codes first and have the injectors checked

2005 Mercury Mountaineer shuts off

Could be a number of things and the information is a little vague. Does it do it when cold, warm, after driving for a distance etc. It might pay to have some one run a diagnostic machine on it. The cost for the test could actually save you money. Just make sure they have a good reputation.

How do i get the advancetrac light to go off, is their a sensor or is it in the transfer case

Christina, May just be a loose Tone ring, plug/wire,wheel speed sensor, etc. You will have to take vehicle into a good shop and have scanned for diagnostic codes to determine which sensor, wire, etc is bad and causing the advance track light to display and estimate repair. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck "I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button. What could cause my battery to not hold a charge. Other than the alternator.

Follow the large diameter wire on the alternator back to the battery to see if it is connected correctly. If you have a multi meter, you can disconnect the + battery cable and test for continuity . Put one lead on the disconnected battery cable and the other lead on the wire that is connected with a nut and washer. Set the meter on ohms or continuity and see what the meter reading is. If set to ohms it should read 0 ohms. If set to continuity the buzzer in the meter should sound. If you don't get either, then the wire from the alternator to the battery cable is bad.
