My TV reception on screen is basiclly green.

Only yellow color denotes the absence of Blue color. Check it. Check its video output card for any loose solder terminals at the blue color output section circuits.

check the color drive, and resistors that change value or open, check also the connections

have you had a magnet near the screen, it has that effect, it will fade, but most TVs don't have a degauss feature.

may just need a hv screen adjustment

The vertical output IC has failed/Power to the vertical IC is out/ or there is bad solder on the pins of the vertical output IC.

Sony Wega Triniton KV-32FS100 TV

For the last week my TV has been going to a black screen for 10 seconds or so then the picture returns. It has been continual. Last night it stopped going to black screen, but now the standby light flashes 5 consecutive times and the color went haywire. A lot of red and everything that is suppose to be black is green.

I did a soft and hard reset with no success. What's wrong and is it worth fixing? Bought new in November 2002.

use the remote and press the display button

Tuner of your TV set got defective and need to be replaced. Pls contact nearest Sony service shop for replacement of Tuner.

How do you get the green display off of the tv screen?

This is a symptom of the circuit failing.
it will soon be much worse.
You need a tech.
you can verify it is the tv circuit.
remove cable or input another signal such as dvd
bring up the TV' menu. does it have the lines.
