Bad reception on lower channels

Hi There,
I have a Sony Trinitron Model # KV-32516. It gets great reception from channels 48 and up. From channels 47 and down it only gets snow and it gets progressively worse as you down in channels. If I leave it on a lower channel for a while the audio will get a little better but very little difference in video. It also works fine when hooked up to the DVD. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Andy

Sony Trinitron, KV-20M20, cannot access most cable TV channels??

It may be that the tuner is bad. It works in bands and can lose upper bands. If you use a top of set box for cable it may need reset.

No signal

Check is RF Antena/ Cable connected? If yes, go to TV Menu and select Auto-Program. TV will start tuning and search all available channels on cable/ on-air. If there is no channel reception, TV has defective Tuner. If you know basic electronics knowledge, replace the Tuner or contact nearest Sony repair shop.

Hi Franciscus,
Is your TV newly purchased ? When you bought that , had you ask the manuals, I do believe every units must have, no matter what brand or model it will be, CE required that act. So ask to your distributor or the store where you bought it unless , it has been passed from one owner to owner, or you bought this from somebody at lower price,,,,perhaps, maybe...but where is the manual? So I hope this reminder will help you... Pls. send feedback...thanks
