My orange phone displays "subscription problem" at start-up

My phone is unable to make calls because of this issue. The manual that I got with my phone says I should register, which I have tried, first by calling the service number 450, but it gets cut off.

I tried registering online but I needed to type my phone number, which I can't access from my phone, and it's new. Also in addition, there is a letter "E" beside my network signal, and the Orange name isn't displayed on the screen. Does anybody know what this means?

I can't make calls, I can't register it, I can't use it. Does anybody know what this subscription problem means? Any help will be useful, and thanks in advance!

same problem here too, tried to register my phone for vid messaging on the website, it told me to enter a number into the phone when i get a certain message in a minute, but when i went to my phone, it was "locked" i.e. kept saying "subscription problem" with an "E" by my signal icon. PLEASE can anyone help?? my phone is the sagem my411x, so its not the phone, its the network!

Hello there ....its quite simple...you need to call the customer care of Orange and ask them to register and activate your sim card ..it is free...just keep the model number of your phone number handy (you will find that on the box in which you got the phone)...or the IMEI number (15 digits mostly) by dialing *#06# on your phone or beneath the battery or on the box near bar code....and your sim card number (19 digits mostly)on the back of your sim card the little chip that you put in your phone
that should solve the problem.....

you can also ask the for some freebies ...like text message ,photo and videos messages ...many companies promote them....always good to try something for free before you start using it ...lol

phone numbers

Pay monthly mobile customers
150 from your pay monthly phone or 07973 100 150 from any other phone

Pay as you go mobile customers
450 from your pay as you go phone or 07973 100 450 from any other phone

hope this help
Cheers

To get your phone number www.orange.co.uk/payasyougoreg then register the sim and the phone id number thing then it gives you your new number. I did it with mine. However, my phone is still displaying the same issues as everyone else, im waiting for a text to update my sim apparently it can take 24 hours. We will see if this works??

My phone is restricted. It says "ready" on the display. How do I unrestrict it?

You are having an issue with your service. Nothing you can do manually. Call Nextel. If your carrier, "Nextel" isn't present on the display then you have a service issue. Ready means that an emergency call will work but you can't make or receive calls.

Indicator light on Alcatel 4039 Flashing orange

no problem it's just a missed call indicator... press it and on the display screen it will say missed internal or external call, press the button adjacent to that and it will display the caller id of the missed call... again press the adjacent button and you will be presented with the option to delete the missed call... as soon as you have the orange light will stop flashing. On a 4019 the sequence is Orange button, 5 times up arrow until the identity of the missed caller is displayed ok, ok again to delete and then back arrow 4 times... hope this helps :-)
