My phone is restricted. It says "ready" on the display. How do I unrestrict it?

You are having an issue with your service. Nothing you can do manually. Call Nextel. If your carrier, "Nextel" isn't present on the display then you have a service issue. Ready means that an emergency call will work but you can't make or receive calls.

I am in a hotel now for 2 weeks though the calls have been dropping I still was able to use my i355 cell phone. Now all of a sudden all calls are going straight to voicemail. But I am unable to check any messages. How to fix this?<br /><br />Thank you.<br /> <!-- from fixya rte -->
