I have an Acer Aspire 5532. There's a webcam on t he laptop but I can't access. I've tried downloading all the drivers or whatever and I still can't get to it. Maybe its different with Windows 7.

I recently purchased this exact same model - Acer Aspire 5532 from Best Buy. The laptop looks like it could possibly have a webcam on it because of a round piece where a built-in webcam would go but the box clearly states that this model does not have a webcam.

If u using Windows 7 then the trouble is with drivers. Because offical version of Windows 7 is just out and also the drivers associated with it are also been just released so wait for some more days ....May be some one or 2 months then u can get the driver for windows 7 which can make yur webcam run perfectly

Their website clearly states this model DOES have a webcam.

Then wtf is that round piece for?

They wouldn't sell you a laptop with windows 7 and have driver problems right out of the box. Acer checks each product and compatibility before it is shipped to the dealer. If it came with windows 7 drivers are not the issue.

Then what IS the problem?!
