I have an acer aspire 5532 and my webcam is not working. i tried downloading some drivers but when i open acer crystal eye webcam, it says "camera not found." i use windows 7. please help??

The Camera is fact Liteon, and your using sunyin driver to operate it, is that correct?

If so, WHY?

Apropriate and recommended drivers for specific hardware, else things go BELLY_UP!!!!

Try installing the recommended drivers for your Liteon camera.

Download the chicony camera driver on the acer site. Select the one appropriate for your OS. It should work out fine after installing.

i can't find acer crystal eye for Acer Aspire 4820t

just re-install the the acer crystal eye webcam dirver and it should work properly the driver should be in the cd provided if you dont have the driver try to download it here http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers

There is built in Acer Integrated Acer Crystal Eye webcam in your laptop.

Probably you have software disc who came with laptop in that disc you have software for webcam (Acer Crystal Eye)

I have found the solution to the problem.... It's quiet hard though... You pick up your laptop and throw it with all force on the ground and jump on it, and buy a new one :]

go to Device Manager and check all hardwares there...there will be webcam listed there try updating the driver...if not listed...then select any device there and chose the Computer Icon on the top...to update the "Scan for Hardware Changes"
if u get a Cam there listed there with any yellow ? or ! amrk chose it and update the driver...
it should be ok now...

simpliest thing would be to go to acer's website, click on support and then drivers downloads and download the webcam drivers and softwar for your webcam..install them and try to run the crystal eye software again...sounds like the program isnt actually there but the drivers are.

hey, I had the same problem, I've got an Acer Aspire 6920 and I swapped out Vista that was on it for Windows XP

I went to the link you posted but it just goes to acer.com
so I figured I'd try something

if you go to acer aspire 6920 drivers, you can only pick Vista and Windows 7, and not Windows XP

instead, pick 6530 drivers (older acer) and pick the Bison driver:
