Hello
Well to change the drum bearing on your machine is pretty straight forward if you have some sort of mechanical grasp but pretty much impossible if you dont..

the procedure is

first take of the top lid two screws either side and it comes off by lifting thefront end of the top and a slight push back and off ...

Then take out the soap draw and undue the 3 screws there.. remove the control panel by unclipping all the wires..

Then the front panel with door you have to remove the 3 screws at the top and 3 at the bottom undue the screws by the door lock and remove the ring around the door gasket and detach the gasket from the front panel.. then simply lift the panel upwards and it will come off..

the remove the rear panel..

Then undue the weights as it will make the job eaiser..

Then remove detach the rubber pipe leading int o the drum from the bottom of the soap draw..

then detach the wire from the solinoids at the back and unlip the little tube that is attache to the pressure switch don not remove the wires from the pressure swtich..

then at the rear of the machine behind a balck cover are the heater wires remove the cover and the wires. you will see at teh bottom of the machine that he wire are held to the drum via tie-clips remove cut all the clips as you will have to replace them after wards..

then remove the wires from the motor ..

then remove the pegs that hold the legs in place which connect to the drum..

then you know the metal panel which the control panel was connected to undue that now. and throw it ove complet with the wiring loom and pressure switch to the right hand side of the machine,,

now unclip the little white things on the top at the sides where thesprings sit and take out the drum...

detach the motor from the drum and remove the springs

The drum has 16 screws around it undue all theses they are star T-10 i think. undue all of them and split the drum open ...

undue the fly wheel and remove the inner drum ...

get your hammer out and knock out the bearing you might need some kind of small bolster or punch.. to remove these and if your bearings are damaged badly then your your probably end up with the outer cone stuck to the bearing shaft,,, be paitient clean it wd40 it and eventually is should come out.. now if you need anymore help then let me know

cheers vaccs../..

SOURCE: Hotpoint Aquarius WMA37 - the

Remove rear panel of washer, slip the belt off, then try the drum to see if it turns, if it does, then the motor is the problem, if it does not, then the main bearings have siezed, or there is something fast between the inner and outer drum..
If it was noisy on spin prior to this happening, then it is more than likely the main bearings that have siezed.
Plz rate my solution.

Thanks.

It's a hotpoint wf541g washer, I've read the

You can buy bearings but the only way to confirm the exact sizes used is to dismantle the machine and then you will be able to identify the ones used, The main reason they suggest a new drum is sometimes the bearings will not come out or go in easily and can cause the drum to crack which means you would need another drum if this happens.
