Whirlpool Cabrio HE washing machine will turn on. After you hit start, it will try to sense the load and immediately turn off with the lid lock button on. The lid lock button does not blink. It just stays...

Sounds like a sensor is detecting something wrong and won't start the cycle until it senses all is well. Try checking that the door is closing properly. If the door sensor thinks the door is open, it can cause machine not to start cycle. Or check that the lower filter element is not clogged. Usually in the bottom of the front on the left or center of the machine is a little door that hides the filter screen for the drain. It should be cleaned periodically. Being clogged can cause issues. Hope this helps.

I have a Whirlpool Cbrio top load washer. it won't start it's cycle. Once it senses the load, the lock lid light flashes and it does nothing. can this be fixed?

I would say that the lock has failed. Either the lock itself or maybe the pin or latch that fits into it when you close the door may have cracked / broken. If the machine thinks the door / lid is still open, it wont let you start it.

Lights come on, press start and nothing ..

Start Switch is bad, When they go out it leave's a open circuit and all light will come on but no action.
After the circuit is closed then it tells the dryer to start cause the circuit activates both the timer and the motor.

Good Luck

Whirlpool Cabrio dryer won't start - the sensing light stays on

An EXTREMELY helpful technical guide is folded inside the console housing.
WARNING: It is for appliance techs, DO NOT do the voltage/resistance checks if you are not well-versed in troubleshooting appliances! BUT, it does include putting the dryer in diagnostics mode and checking the sensors.
Post back any error codes you may get.
