The internet light flashes then connects for about 30 seconds then it goes off again, it keeps doing this and wont connect. I cant set it up on the offline website either because it tries to find the broadband connection and it cant. I also tried resetting it to its factory setting and that hasnt worked.

Hi,

This sounds like a internet connection issue. Do you get any trouble browsing other websites? Slow internet connection in general? A slow internet connection or one that has intermittent disconnects will cause the issues you are experiencing. If you have any background programs running, like downloading videos, try stopping these programs and see if the program improves.

Try to clear you internet browser cache to see if this resolves the issue,

In Internet Explorer to go Tools > Internet Options and under the first tab in the Browsing History section, choose the Delete button.
In Firefox go to History > Clear recent history and make sure all options are checked except active logins and site preferences.

Try using a different internet browser then the one you are using and see if this resolves the issue. If the issue goes away, you know you have a problem with that browser. Some examples of browsers you can use are Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari and Chrome.

If you are experiencing a degraded internet connection you will want to reach out to your Internet Service Provider for help. In the meantime, you can check your network cables and make sure everything is firmly connected. You can also try and reset all your devices.
-Power off your modem, router and computer. After 10 seconds turn on your modem, after 30 seconds turn on your router and after 30 seconds turn on your computer. See if this helps any.

I also wrote a tech article(Facebook Slow) which goes over some of these steps and more. Please click here to read that article.

My wlan light keep going on and off on my wrt54g

Also check if the power light on your router is blinking. If it is blinking, that's an indication of hardware failure. To revive it, do a hard reset. Press and hold the power button of the router for 30 seconds then unplug the power. Wait for 30 seconds again before you plug it back in.

My orange light keeps blinking..

Try to do a reset on the router. Hold down the button on the back of the router for 1 second. Then try to connect again. If this doesnt work power down both your router and your cable modem. Let them sit for a minute and then plug in the modem and wait 30 seconds. THen plug in the Wireless router. The issue should resolve itself.

Connectivity problem

it is still trying to connect via your modem, go to control panel>network connection, and you will see your modem dialup connection, right click and select dissable if required.

next open up internet explorer, go to tools>internet options, then click on connections tab, then half way down select 'never dial a connection'.

Click apply>ok, then close internet explorer, open it up again and wait a few seconds and it will connect via your router(asuming that it is correctly set up).

If no page appears then click refresh a few times.

On and off line every 20 flashes.

Have you attempted to connect the internet after the router stops flashing? Do the lights start flashing again? If you do, then it would be considered normal.

If they don't and you do not have an internet connection, try the next step.

Next, plug your computer straight into the modem - Do you have an internet connection now? If you do, your router may require configuration.
