On the toshiba Estudio 150 there is a lock for the scanner unit underneath the left side of the scanning unit where you would put your hand to get a copy. what happens most of the time is someone unintensionally turns that know which in turn gives the error code because the scanner cannot move. check to make sure that the lock is in the unlocked position. this plastic lock can be removed with a screw driver. other times we have found that the scanner rail underneath the glass needed to be lubercated with a light oil. to do this the four top screws on the top corners of the machine would need to be removed and the glass will lift off. once the glass is off you will see a silver bar that runs across the scanner unit that the scanner rides on. take some light oil like typerater oil put on finger and coat the siver rail with it by running you finger of oil on it. put back together and try. if that doesnt solve it the only other thing i have seen is broken scanner lamps and in that case it needs to be repaired by a service tech.

This is a fuser related error - the fuser is not warming up within a specified time frame. It could be the heater lamp or a thermostat/thermistor that is not working, possibly a bad fan. You can cancel the error code (hopefully the error does not come back) by going into sim mode. press the following keys one after the other "clear" "density select key" "clear" "density select key" then enter 14 and the copy start key. then restart the copier. If error code persists you could remove the fuser unit and look for any foreign matter inside the fuser. dirty thermistor or thermostat can cause this too. Hope this helps
UNDERNEATH THE TRAY WHERE THE PAPER COMES OUT THERE IS A ROTORY SWITCH WHICH IS CLEAR IN COLOR. IT IS EXTERNAL. IT MAY HAVE BEEN TURNED SLIGHTLY. IT IS SOME SORT OF LOCK, THAT IS WHY THE L IS FLASHING. IT IS RIGHT UNDER WHERE THE PAPER COMES OUT OF THE PRINTER. AFTER YOU TURN IT IN THE STRAIGHT POSITION, PUSH THE CLEAR BUTTON THEN THE BUTTON JUST LEFT OF THE CONTRAST ADJUSTMENT BUTTONS. DO THAT TWICE IN A ROW AND THE PRINTER WILL TURN OFF. PUSH CLEAR AGAIN AND IT WILL TURN IT BACK ON AND ALSO CLEAR THE TROUBLE CODE. GOOD LUCK.
Just press these keys with sequence and with in 2 or 3 seconds .first press clear, then auto photo mode select key, again clear ,auto photo key,.copier will go dead .now press 14 then start key.problem will bi removed.

Hi you have a fuser problem. The fuser does not heatup normaly. Sometimes it can besolved with the following code. Enter Sim mode. "c" - Auto/text/photo - "c" - Auto/text/photo - 14 -start - 00 - start. To exit sim mode press clear all. Turn the machine off and on, check operation. If that does not work check the Termosters, termostats, and heater lamps and wiring harnes.
Hello! I did it and it worked perfectly.
I entered the SIM mode : CLear - Auto- Clear - Auto- then I pressed 14 -Start- Clear and then , the machine automatically warmed up and came to ready...Please, How can I be a copier Tech? I'm so eager to learn that. LET ME KNOW SO I CAN HELP OTHERS. THANKS SO MUCH...
There is a small clear plastic circle under where the paper comes out, it has two positions, lock and unlock, sometimes when people grab the copies they bump it to lock, use a flash light and make sure its unlocked, you can also just remove it, it was there for shipping. L-codes = scanner lock problems, real cold conditions can cause the scanner greases to not allow the scanner to move fast enough, put the copier somewhere warm. Good Luck!!!
