The electric side mirrors on my blazer do not work so I cannot adjust them. Both sides do not function. I think they are power heated as well and that doesn't work either. Any ideas? I believe I checked the fuses and found nothing there. Chevy Blazer 2000 LS Four Door FWD

I think it is the switch. I took the switch itself apart and and cleaned the contacts. Some of the contacts works if I press them real hard. Bought a new switch on ebay to try it out. Should be in tomorrow.

I would start with making sure ur selector switch is not in the off postion just in case lol. next I would have to take door panel off get at the switch and see if you have power going to the switch this can be done with just a 12volt tester. Then if power is coming to switch operate see if power is going out, use selector switch to see if power goes out to left then try right mirror and for fun in off postion no power to either. the switch may just have a bad connection or broken because it is very douhtful both are bad but if the mirrors never get move they can seize up it a good pratice to more them every so often hope this helps get started in the right direction.

Drivers side heated mirror turned amber

1999 blazer mirror problems. First I would replace the mirror. You can get an after market right side/left side, heated on eBay very cheap. that's where I get mine. They work fine. But you say the mechanic never fix your other problem in the first place. So I wouldn't no where to start. What is the other problem? Im just taking a guess here. But check your connections under your door pannel. Make sure no wires are bare or crushed. Make sure if any, fuses are not bad. Make sure your heat system that runs the heat to your mirror's is operating proper. You might have a short somewhere or maybe its just time to replace the mirror. To me when you see an amber color to your mirror it's the same as a light bulb blowing out or the mirror is getting to hot and shorted out. Good Luck.

The adjusting motor is inside the mirror itself. There should just be a couple of bolts to hold the mirror in place, and then an electrical cable that plugs into one in the door that sends the power and the electrical signals to the motor in the mirror.
