How to set timing on a 1997 s10 blazer 4.3 vortec.
The reason there are two timing marks on the balancer is because you can line up the top mark with the mark on the timing cover and the bottom mark with the mark on the block. This is top dead center for number 1 cylinder you dont need to crank the motor over with your finger over the no 1 plug hole or watch the valve springs on number one cylinder anymore now they have made it simple just line up the marks and you are at tdc no1 cylinder if you want diagrams email me. I have '97 chevy blazer.
None of these things are related there all separate issues.
The window problem is in the door control master switch . the abs could be a wheel speed sensor vary likely and the blower motor could be an accuator or a bad vacuum switch or a bad connection at the blower motor or the resistors .

My personal suggestion would be to go for these repair catalogs. I know this website reliable-store that i used to buy them from, and they sold online it was very good manual. Go ahead, I bet.

Had an issue similar to this with a customer astro van. It was the front differential that destroyed itself. We took the front driveshaft off and he drove it like that for a while. Then sold it. So, I am not sure what happened inside that front axle, but is was locked up. As long as we took off the driveshaft, the spider gears were the only thing spinning internally. So it could be driven again.
Blower switch on 98 s10 has no power but the fuse does
Do you know what a splice in a wiring harness is ? Looking at a wiring diagram for the heater / A/C controller . I see S221 ,may have a break in the wire right there . Look here http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html
Enter vehicle info. year , make , model , an engine size . Under system click on HVAC , then under subsystem click on HVAC control's ,then click the search button ,then the first blue link . Scroll down to the thrid diagram. If you had factory service info. you could find the location of that splice .
Car stuck in park & wont shift at all.
There is probably a safety interlock with the brake pedal so in order to move from park the ignition must be switched on and the footbrake applied.
I suggest you read the section in the vehicle handbook and if there is such an interlock and it isn't working check the brake pedal switch function and adjustment first.
