Although the Whirlpool dishwasher F4 error code is "not draining" it is actually a .... switch situated? my Whirlpool showsE1 and F8 error codes.
You have a blockage in the drain line someplace. If you have a garbage disposer, check to see that it is clear where the dishwasher connects to it. Also check and make sure that the drain hose is higher then the inlet to the disposer to prevent water draining back into the drain line from the disposer. If that's clear you have a blockage somewhere in the drainline. Best to unit from cabinet and check it
Hi, It means your filter is dirty. Remove metal plate at bottom & scrub with a toothbrush. Clean arms as well. Clean all around the door & pull out the lift out filter, scrub clean with a toothbrush.
F8 code means that washer has not emptied out fully.
Open the door, empty water manually, clear the filters and the drains. Close the door and then hold the start button, until it will restart.
Good luck !
