Fisher paykel dd603 - both drawer units just come

There is water collected at the base of the dishwasher which is tripping flood switch. Will need to disconnect power and take the bottom drawer out and dry out the base. Need to find source of the leak. Most likely the lid seal or hoses.

Red light U3

The U3 error code could mean a few things. Not sure if you get it in both or just one drawer.

It could mean there is something blocking the drain pump. Lift the filter plate and drain filter. Then remove the rotor by disengaging the collar holding the impeller and rotor assembly. clean the area including the channel between the rotor cavity and the drain sump. Put everything back and test.

If this does not get rid of the U3 then it is possible there is a kink in the drain hose. Pull the drawers out and check behind. If nothing visible then other possibility is the inlet water pressure setting is not correct. If you know how to read the water pressure setting from the display then compare the setting on the two drawers.

Please post a comment to let me know what you find.

Temperature sensor location for DS601

There is no separate temperature sensor. Everything is part of the Heater assembly. Need to replace the lot. I have a dd603 double drawer by fisher and Paykel.

Here is a suggestion: First turn the breaker for the dishwasher off for a minute or so then turn it back on. This will reset the controls. After that you should be able to select the cycle you want. Now for information on top drawer acting crazy. I had problems with the top drawer on a model 603I, I found that the control board under the drawer cover (at the upper right corner) had a broken latch. This allowed the control board assembly to drop down at the right side which caused the electronic eyes at the side of the drawer to become misaligned. This was giving false information to the control board indicating that the drawer wasn't closed properly. My problem was fixed by securing the control board back in place making sure the electronic eyes were lined up properly. (Note: The electronic eyes I am referring to include two clear plastic tubes about an inch and a half long to the right of the control board. These tubes must be properly lined up with the led and photocell on the side of the control board) It sounds complicated but if you take the drawer cover off you will notice the control board alignment immediately. Its an easy fix if this is your problem. One way to fix it is to take a piece of string and tie the board back in place. (That's what I fixed mine with and it has worked like new ever since.) NOTE: MAKE SURE THE POWER IS TURNED OFF BEFORE YOU BEGIN THIS REPAIR! suggestion:

U3 error

It is unclear which model number you have, but in general U3 fault would mean the pump cavity is blocked. It could be also linked to water pressure setting on dishwasher not set at correct level for your mains pressure.Refer manual on page 33

Drawer wont shut

If it is one of the two drawers that will not shut, them most likely the lid seal is locked in close position or the lid seal is damaged and pieces of it are blocking the drawer.Try to shut the power to the dishwasher and take the power chord out from the socket. Then insert back and turn power on.See if this makes a difference. If not the lid actuator motor or the lid seal need to be replaced. Will need a technician if you are not familiar with repairs especially the dishwashers are very sophisticated and are sensitive to how one repairs it.
