A faulty lid switch will do that(assuming it agitates. If not agitating then the motor coupler is the next suspect.

Is your washer agitating at all? If not then you will more than likely need a direct drive coupler.It links the motor to the transmission and turns your agitator, both to agitate and produce a spin cycle. the part number is 285753 and is around $22.00. It is a wearable part and can easily be replaced by a technician. This can happen more often if you overload your washer with heavy or large loads.Hope this helps
