Ok this Sounds Crazy but it worked for me and its easy to try. Unplug the unit and pick it up and turn it side ways and gently shake it. Sometimes a small piece of plastic has broken loose and is interfering with the works and if you can dislodge it from its current location it will stop. Be careful not to hurt youself doing it. Also, I have one printer with a missing tooth on one of the gears and has been growling at me for a long time.
Best of Luck,

Hp printer photosmart c 4795

I don't have a photosmart, but I do have an HP OfficeJet J4680 that clicks sometimes. Check to make sure the ink cartridges are installed correctly. That's what is sliding back and forth when you turn it on.

Loud clicking noise

we need to perform a reset, it will take the pritner to the factory settings and this may help you,
the process of reset goes like.
unplug the power cable from the pritner >
then press and hold down the # key and 6 key >
while pressing and holding these keys plug in the power cable back into the printer and wait for 20 secs and then release the buttons..
after this the printer will re-initialize and this might take few minutes.. so wait untill it finishes and follow the onscreeen instruction as well.(if any)

Officejet 6210 noisy rollers

i believed this issue is on the mechanical side of the printer.if the grinding noise is very noisy if you still have the warranty of the printer you can go ahead an ask for the replacement of the printer coz it is an issue with the mechanical part of the printer..

HP officejet 6210.

Put the printer in the mode for changing the carts. Take out the Black ink car and clean off the heads on it. Looks like brown in color it's on the cart at the bottom To clean use paper towel with cold water never use warm or hot. Clean the area where the in rest in the printer also if you can reach it. The noise you hear is that the cart didn't go back in the right position. You have to be cart not to force these carts out as everything in this printer is made of plastic.
