I got a psp sims 2 cast away and when i play it it gets stuck and then it turns off...do u know why? or how to fix it?
What you do is you go to the home menu and go to
System Settings>UMD Cache>off.
I sent a letter to eagames.com you have to make an account but hopefully if enouugh people let them no about the issues with the game they will fix the problem!
I'm Rosebetts and I Descovered that if when you reach the sims 2 castaway menu (new game, Load Game, Credits) First go onto new game then exit that screen to lead to the menu then load your game and it will load well! Hope it works for you too!
My psp had the same problem i was running software 2.71 and i updated to 2.90 and i havent had a problem with saving yet and its been almost a week. just download 2.90 onto your memory card and put it into your psp and fallow the instructions should work after that

its a UMD and it dosent have any scraches on it...
I Bought the sims 2 castaway for PSP and It worked fine, then the next day it worked fine but later when I tryed to load it, It froze and my PSP turned off!
I bought a psp brand new with Sims 2 Castaway and it goes to the load screen and the walking feet stutter then stop. This is the second disc as I thought it was a disc problem. I also bought another game which works fine for her.
I played sims 2 castaway from my memory card. I've done quite well,
but when I saved it, my psp got stuck and it turns off. All the saved data was gone.
So the second time, I saved the game in stages in different slots and it worked OK, with me reaching the third island. THEN, after achieving so many goals, I tried to save it but it got stuck and then my psp turns off. I did not lose the data, I can even play them at my last saved location, BUT I can't save my sims anymore. Because it got stuck and my psp turns off. FYI I still have 1.6Mb of space in my memory card. ARgh.. this is so frustrating!
