When I turned my 2007 toyota tundra off, the 4 wd was working. When I started it again the 4 wd wouldn't engage and the light started blinking.

first time used 4WD on this car?????
what transfer case is there,? key fact #1 not told
JF1A<<< my guess this.
NOT TOLD YOU WHAT THE TIRES ARE ROLLING ON
PAVEMENT, DIRT, OFF-ROAD.. ICE, SNOW OR WHAT.
THE CAR IS NOT AWD
THE CAR IS NOT FULL TIME 4WD
IT IS PART TIME 4WD.
THE USERS MANUAL TOLD YOU THIS

Four?wheeldrive models-Toyota rec-
ommends not using four?wheel drive on
dry hard?surfaced roads, because four?
wheel driving wil l cause unnecessary
noise and wear, and poor fuel econo-
my.

WHAT HAPPENS IS DAMAGE TO THE TRANSER CASE MAIN CHAIN OR FAR FAR WORSE.
or
google
"what part time 4 wheel drive means."
it means there is no center Differential to have AWD

SAME GUIDE SAID

Four?wheel DriveSystemWarning
Buzzer(four?wheel drive models)
This buzzer reminds you that the transfer
mode is not selected correctly.
If the buzzer sounds when you shift the
transfer from "2 WD" to "4H", "4L" to "4H",
"4H"to "4L",or"4L"to "2WD"mode,follow the instructions in"Four?wheel drive
system"on page 239 in Section 1?7.

TO EXIT 4WD, IF SELECTED INCORRECTLY ON DRY PAVEMENT.
GET 1 TIRE OF THE TRUCK ON LOSE DIRT ,GRAVEL ,GRASS. AND SHIFT TO 2WD.
AND STAY OUT OF 4WD UNTIL LEARN HOW PART TIME WORKS.,

4WD IS FOR
DIRT
FOR ICED OVER WHAT EVER.
FOR PACKED SNOW OR DRIFTS.

NOT FOR DRY PAVEMENT AT ALL. OR EVEN WET

I putmy jeep in 4wheel drive and now the light stays on and says part time light stays on how do I get it off

no jeep told at all, 1941 to now. zero guessing 80+ years of jeeps
not told what transfer case is there. lots possible. and are not the same.
using part time 4wd on pavement causes lockup
aka
crab walk
wind up.
part time is for, offroad. only, or tires on ice or snow.
not for pavement dry or only wet.period
once this error is made there are only 3 cures.
move 1/2mph ,no turns) and shift to 2wd.
or move truck so that 1 tire or more are onto ice, dirt and shift to 2wd
or jackup 1 tire off the road.and it UNWINDS now

if doing this all wrong, the the transfer case chain is damaged.
learn what part time means some even tell lies about it.
part time means off road
think about if pavement is covered in ice you are off road.
see?
part time has no center differential or a slip clutch device.

no year jeep told
no model jeep told
no transfer case told
i guess this.

241 is part time only. no Full time , no AWD
the last digit 1= part time, 2 = full time
8 types exist.

241 = part time,. one of many made for 80 years. 1995 here.

I have a 1998 Chevy blazer and I am having trouble making sharp turns left and right its almost like the breaks are sticking but I have replaced everything but those hose itself. It also happens if I have...

If it feels like the front end is hopping or binding than I would put my money on the four wheel drive being engaged. On dry pavement the four wheel drive has no way of of slipping through a turn. the front end will hop to compensate for this.

If your lucky enough to find a snow covered parking lot or field or even a loose gravel road, try some tight turns. If the problem goes away its in the four wheel drive system.

When driving my ford focus 2011 zetec 1.8 is it normal to hear a lot of road noise even though the windows are shut. this seems worse when driving over 40 mph

Not really. Tires will cause noise. Th noise will change over different types of pavement. Bearing noise won't. Except when you are turning left or right. Turning left and the noise gets loader/worse is the right side bearing. Vise versa for the left.

My 2008 dodge Dakotas four wheel got stuck in four wheel and wouldn't come out I kept on driving it started to shake then it started to make a noise that sounded like I was dragging something then all the...

First off you need to determine where the oil is coming. Engine, transfer case, transmission etc. If it was stuck in 4 wheel drive and you drove it on hard pavement for a ways with it making lots of noises you may have broken the case for the tyranny or transfer case. It is never good to operate a vehicle when it is not preforming as designed. Dodge for years in their pickups and caravans have had a weak spot in the gear train cases. Lucky it did not lock up on you in the middle of the road and require a wrecker to get it home because the tyranny broke a pin and locked the tyranny up completely. Welcome to the world of Dodge!

My susuki grand vataris traction control does not work

double posted, and again no facts:
answer:
what country; better say what city, or state road conditions.?
pavement? ice, snow, ? or only wet pavement.?
In 4wd ? 4H or 4L mode. (never do this on only wet pavement) RTM
is the ESP switch on , or off.?
do tell at watch speed this slides happen 5mph or 100mph on ice.
road conditions, and exactly how it slides.?
eg: im on ice, im in a turn at 45mph in 4H , ESP switch on,
and car slides and the ESP light did not flash. (warning me.)

The ESP is not magic, it cant save , extreme drivers.
say going 100mph in to an iced turn
sure it will try but will fail.
it can brake you
it can shift gears, and cut the throttle (TBW)
it can do lots, but is not magic, it has limits,

what makes you think it does not work.// elaborate fully.?????
