It may depend upon how old your TV is. And it may also depend upon the format of your USB. Older TVs may not recognise a USB that is formatted in NTFS (NTFile System). Some USB sticks are formatted in FAT32 and some (the bigger size) are formatted in NTFS. Almost any device that can accept a USB to be connected, will recognise a FAT32 USB, but, not all will recognise a NTFS USB stick.
To connect up a tablet with a laptop you need to connect them with a USB cable.
On plugging in the cable with the tablet powered up, you should see two things.
1. A question on the tablet as to whether you want to use memory disc mode or diagnostic(ADB) mode. Choose Memory disc mode.
2. You should see on the PC laptop it recognise that an external device is connected, it may recognise it as a phone or a memory drive.
If neither of these things is happening it is probably the cable at fault.
The tablet should then start providing the pc laptop with the drivers it requires to be recognised. If this does not happen, then the fault is with the tablet and you have to consult your supplier.
You should end up with at least one memory drive which you can browse through with the PC's file manager. The data will be on the tablet.
I am not sure you are talking about a tablet PC or the new craze of tablets. For the tablet PC you should have a screen calibration utility. You can calibrate the display for the Wacom (or other) pen, or for the touch input. When you calibrate the pen, any touching of the screen with anything other that the Wacom pen will be ignored. Similarly, when you calibrate the touch, any input with the Wacom pen will be ignored and you will be asked to use the proper instrument.
To get back to your case , it is possible that you are not putting the finger at the right place or not pressing hard enough. That is just a guess and I may be off the mark for the new tablets, but not for the Tablets PC:
LOL, why do you think HP sold tablets for $699 for 7 weeks then told all the retailers to get rid of them for $99? Those little things are nothing but trouble unless you're buying an Apple.
Have you turned on the Touch feature on Windows 7 yet? That could be the reason why your touch screen feature is not working.
To turn it on please follow this:
1. Open your Start menu and type "Touch" into the search bar. This will show a variety of options, including the "Pen and Touch" options. Double-click it to open the "Pen and Touch" window. 2. Check the boxes next to the "Use your finger as an input device" and, if preferred, check the "Enable multi-touch gestures and inking" box as well. 3. Click "Apply" to set the options and click "OK" to exit the window.
I have the bamboo fun pen also. I am currently running Windows Vista 64bit home and have the same problem. I fixed mine by going into the control options > Tablet PC Settings > Other > Go to Pen and Input Devices > Settings (Under Pen Options) Then I clicked at the top Where it states "Enable press and hold for Right-clicking". I disabled that and my pen works with no holding for the right click. I can make scratch marks all day! Hope this helps you too.
you're probably resting your hand while you're writing... this happend to me when i attempted to draw/write/what have you. the computer can't differentiate between the pen tip and your hand, so what you need to do is disable your finger as a pointing device: 1) go to control panel 2) click on the mobile pc 3) go to pen and input devices 4) you should see a TOUCH tab. click on it. 5) uncheck the box that says "Use your finger as an input device."
This should help. obviously, you lose the capability to use your finger, and the whole idea of touchscreen in general, but you can always enable this after drawing or taking notes.
