Syncronizing windows every time i turn on my computer windows is always trying to syncronize the logitech webcam. can i use this webcam without microphone.

1- Well the thing is with Digital Camera If there is lots going on (on the computer) your other program might interfer
1st end all processes that might have anything to do with the camera or that may be using any of its features, I would retart your computer as well
If you still have any issue uninstall and reinstall the drivers for the camera.
2- Of course you can You have to locate the volume control located in the System Tray( Next to the clock in the lower right hand side corner) if you double click on the icon you shold have the option to mute the microphone
