It sounds like a configuration error please check all settings and confirm that they are all correct if not correct as necessary. It may also be a conflict between the 2 printers it maybe trying to print to both and cannot due to seeing 2 printers. If you have checked all your settings and they are correct try removing 1 printer and then if it prints on either singularly then it is a error that needs correcting on the settings for your printers to be able to be used together correct this problem and then you should have no problems. I hope this helps.
Some time it depends on what you are trying to print. If this is a receipt or something off thre internet, try to copy the page and pate it on a blenk microsoft office page, it this work try to print, if it works, the email is corrupted.
If you got a satisfactory solution to the fax receipt issue, I would surely appreciate your sharing it with me. I don't think that any HP all-in-ones will give you a receipt from the recipient. I need this too. Maybe I will reinstall Win Fax
I had the same problem with my 6210. A different machine, but this may be worth a try. You need to go to the general setup, rather than the fax menu on the keypad. Two pushes of the button takes you to "print reports". Press OK and you go to "Fax Report Setup", OK again gives you "Print Report". You then can toggle with the arrows for the various options. In this case press OK when you are on "sent faxes"
No, HP 98 works on Officejets, designjets and Photosmart printers.
If it is still in the box, and un-opened, they will take it back without the receipt and exchange it for the one you need.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it. Thanks, Joe
You should have a "setup" button. Press that and go to "fax" set up. You can select your options from there. Your options should include the ability to receive a receipt for all transmissions, or none, or just for failed transmissions.
Also, you mentioned you "inherited" the machine. I'd suggest going to hp's website to update the software/drivers. The site is www.hp.com.
