Hi Connie Blankenship, We want to help you with your question, but we need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box? Is it humid in your house or dry air ? If dry air the water comes from the water in the air. So if it is a dry air then there won't be a lot of water. The user manual states it drips out the unit. if it does not drip under humid conditions it might be installed incorrectly . ie drip hole is covered under unit. Freezing up is caused by •dirty air filter or evaporator coil(indoor coil) •dirty blower wheel or blower fan blades •low freon •weak or slow blower motor If air filter and indoor coil are clean may be low on freon. Blower wheels seldom get dirty on window units. Pull unit from window and clean both coils with a water hose. Careful not to get any electrical wet. Let dry for a while and reinstall. If it continues to freeze its a freon problem most the time.
Your Frigidaire window unit is the same as any other window unit. Typically window unit air conditioners don't have a drain. This is why you have to make sure the back of the unit (the end that goes outside) is slightly lower than the front when you put it in a window. When it gets so high with water it drains out the back onto the ground.
It is normal to have water in the drain tray. a little is fine . make certain that the unit is tilted to theoutside about 1 inch or so if ithas a drain hose check for kinks init.. also you might want to close theoutside air vent sometimes called a fresh air vent .. and of course check the filter and while your at it service it.. cheap insurance in this weather.let me know if this helps jon
There's a drain pan under the unit. I has a drain hole on the outside (outside the wall) part of the AC. If the unit is installed properly and has a 1/4" to 1/2" downward tilt on the outside, the water runs to the rear of the drain pan and drains out thru the drain hole. That's assuming the drain hole is not clogged.
Hello my name is Heath it will be my pleasure to assist you. The drain should be in the back of the unit outside . If you lean the air conditoner slightly toward the outside it should drain outside.
the bottom of the case from the outside usually has a "divot" in it below the coil to allow flow from the hose that runs across the bottom of the unit, try pressuring up and "blowing out" any obstruction, if this does not work then you may have to disassemble the unit and verify the drainpan is not cracked below the indoor coil (rare)
window units slide into an outside frame section
there is a hose attachment area at the back of the ac unit proper that a hose can be attached to
and there should be a section in the frame that allows the hose to be fitted to that ac unit proper
the unit should be mounted so that it actually slopes slightly down at the rear so water can collect at that drain point
there are adaptors that should have come in the packing box for hose attachment
if not, many people use white poly piping or electrical conduit with suitable elbows to collect the water at the hole and pipe it back to the wall into a bucket and the collected water used to water plants and gardens
