The 'jungle' chip is the sync separator, video processor and timebase chip all in one. They rarelly fail.

Every part has its unique reference number on schematics and PCB of TV installed.

C515 means Capacitor # 515 and IC206 means Integrated Circuit # 206 mounted on PCB and shown in related schematics.

Jungle IC is technical term used in Sony and Panasonic refers to sync, oscillators, drive stages for horizontal and vertical deflection stages in a TV.

SOURCE: Convergence IC STK392-110 vs STK392-110T

6b5ee7e.png Based on your post above it sounds like the chips you tried were knock offs and not original Sanyo chips. They will look almost identical but the knock off chips will only last a month or two.

Here are some of the most common symptoms of a convergence problem.

  • Screen looks 3D
  • Colors don't line up
  • One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
  • Screen is bowed or warped.
Here is a quick test....

Using your original remote go-to the tv settings then goto the convergence section.

Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.

You should be able to move them up, down, left, and right.

If you can't move them in all directions your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.

You need to replace the convergence chips and convergence resistors. Check the site www.TvRepairKits.com. They have put together a kits for most models. If you don't see a kit for your set send them a quick email and they will put one together for you. Their kits includes photo instruction guides, original Sanyo STK chips, convergence resistors, pico fuses, etc.

SOURCE: TV will not turn on

Sounds like the thermal fuse has gone bad. Sony part# 191002393. Very enexpensive part. It is located near the lamp housing from the back of the set. Once you have the new part in your hand, it will be easy to find.

Video Board of the sony kv-32XBR200

have you heard about the jungle ic?

video board or what you call video detector, and video amplifier of a tv can only be found in the jungle ic or the system ic. try to resolder all pins of the ic.

you don't have to buy another board. if you can buy a schematic of the unit much easier for you fix it.

Flashing red light

The jungle chip is the main IC processor. It is very complicated and has hundreds of circuits surrounding its complexity.

Six blinks is a diagnostic code for loss of horizontal sweep. Thus there is no raster and no high voltage.

Cure requires a look at the jungle chip and the horizontal synch signal to see where it got lost. Cost of repair is not so much unless the jungle chip must be replaced which is rare, but very expensive.

A good repair place can fix it quickly and under $100 so beware of who works on it.

Sony KV-34HS510 blink codes

I would question that diagnosis, Did you get it online somewhere or did you have a tech check your B+ voltages ?
6 blinks is almost always caused by 2 chips on the "D board", they are both marked MCZ3001D you can order them here if you are a consumer not a tech 800-575-9833. Not to say that the jungle IC & those 2 caps couldn`t cause a dead set symptom but these 2 IC`s are notorious for the 6 blink code, I have personally fixed approx. 10 sony sets with the 6 blink code with those IC`s, hope this helps

you have defective vertical IC! the supply of Jungle IC is from the vertical output!

Half Picture

I have seen this caused by 2 different problems. The vertical output IC could be bad but it is usually the CXA jungle IC that fails to cause this. Either way the set should be serviced by someone experienced in repairing Sony TV's.
