SOURCE: I have the bissell

You already said it, so check the carbon brushes. Once it is no longer able to push the rotor or stator it need to be replace. Carbon brushes are customized at the machine shop, so you should bring it so that you have a sample of the brushes itself. Just be observant when disassembling the motor so that you put it back to exact place.

My shark vac then steam will not steam anymore and I am doing everything right. How do I fix this problem?

im not familiar with that brand but i am an electrician and vac tech. i would if i were you i would check and make sure the heating element had power at its connection. if there is power replace the heating element. plenty of online vac parts stores have schematics along with a parts list to help you locate part in vacuum.

My Bissell Pro Heat 2X steam cleaner is not releasing the water

Have you tried cleaning out the small filterfrom the reserve tank? Also, check the tank/resevoir valve is operating properly, when you take it out to fill try to make water release from tank.

My Shark steam cleaner just stopped working - doesn't make steam anymore. Is there a way to fix it.

I have the same problem - just heard from the support tech to soak the "device" in 1/2 vinegar and 1/2 water. Read on line a customer used vinegar in the device itself, heated it up until it made steam, then emptied it and used distilled water and it was fine. I haven't tried it yet, so we'll see if either solution works . . .

Bissell pro heat 2x multi surface carpet cleaner making spots

maybe there's not enough vacuum or it hasn't been primed enough. I have a proheat that drove me crazy till I started leaving the heat switch on. I get wads of carpet fiber that mat around brush and spit out on the carpet, so I frequently remove them. I'm just wondering if after you empty the water, it may not have built up the suction. Good luck! hope this may be helpful
