Why is the internet and the wifi being really slow ?

  • Anonymous Jul 23, 2020

well we have no idea at all what you have there or if at home ,work or say StarBucks.
but wired is faster. if that is fast then only wifi "there" is slow. and all you can do is upgrade or get closer to your WIFI router.or (AP)
    btw,your ISP charged for speed.
run this on wired ethernet then wifi
see if wired is fast ENOUGH.
    https://fast.com/

    1: do the speed test
2: are other PCs fast on your wifi ?
3:wired, try wired first to see if that is fast.

old 1 band wifi is slow, upgrade it.

learn to test on 2 PCs.
learn to test using an ethernet cable
learn to test your sub net for slow.
than magic happens, (reasons and cures known)

This depends upon how much load is coming on the server.

There are many different reasons why your Internet and wifi connections might appear or be running slow. It could be a problem or an issue with your modem and or router, theWi-Fi signal, signal strength on your cable line, devices on your network saturating your bandwidth, or even a slow DNS server.Try and reset your router and modem first. It could also be the coax cable splinters are bad and needs to be replaced and the internet signal and the wifi signal could be weak where you live and not have strong and good enough connections. Weather storm types can cause problems with the internet and the wifi. You should contact your service provider and company for your internet and wifi about this and see if they can fix it.

My Akai tv wonā€™t connect to the internet wirelessly

wow no TV model stated, wow ! model NUMBER.
the #1 top question about computers (besides dead ) is
wifi dead, everybody uses it and it loves to fail or run slow.
wifi is a SHARED resource that you do not own. ok?
you are just user of the radio channel, shared, switch to channel 5 yet ? at the router but I digress.
The TV must be close to the router not 50feet away. ok?>
buy a AP access point wired bridge> (ask) put it near TV ?

first off use wired Ethernet, see it works and everyday forward no PAIN.

if you must use WIFI learn to test it first. ok?
learn your credentials too. first. SSID and PW.
on a PC at home try wifi now, or on any smart cell phone
turn on wifi and turn off say 3G, does wifi work now?
if yes, then wifi is OK, testing wifi done.
now back to that TV (no model stated at all, sticker on rear words)
The TV can (most smart TVs) have a reset networking feature
RTM read the manual yet, id read it to you but no TV stated.
all do really, reset it and then it goes in to wifi setup
it asks you 2 things, really, just 2,
your SSID, that is your home wifi router name used in the PC or smart phone tests above.
my TV and all PCs show like 10 homes near by there SSID
and mine, , mine is (lie) FIDO123. so on my TV I see FIDO123.
and click that, now it asks for my password passphase,
mine is written down and is COMPLEX. (security max here)
I type that and like magic the wifi works , if not is it to far from your router , is it? TV >>>>>router???? distance is what? walls? of concrete are bad. for wifi. (dense walls bad of any kind)

Wifi is problematic for sure 801 b or g and n (geT "AC" if TV allows this) The best TVs are set up for. 801.11-/ac" features.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEEE_802.11ac

Wifi can run slow, or 1/2 speed if one other errant device in home causes N bonding drop out, making TV show buffering delays.

here is LG TV that does "AC"wifi spec.
  • LG 55" Class 4K (2160P) Ultra HD Smart LED HDR TV 55UK6090PUA I your router is "AC"rated the pair work very good.
TVs 2013 and newer have this now for 6 years.

My neotv will not let me watch anything

Check to see if there are any physical obstacles that might interfere with your WiFi signal, things like metal wall studs, metal cabinets, etc. if that is the case and you can't move your neoTV setup, you might need to get a WiFi booster. That worked for us.

    Test vostro 3350

All you need to do it to change your WiFi broadcasting channel and IP setting. Open up your router`s setup by entering the default gateway IP, enter username password if prompted first ->go to Lan setting and make sure that you DHCP is enabled then change your starting LAN IP address from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.1.1 or vice versa.

Why if am using hotspot download will be very slow

There may be a speed limitation on this WiFi hotspot, if it is a free WiFi and if a lot of people are using this site then the Internet connect will be slow.

    Range on the wifi

Need more info, but it could be a number of things. Many thing affect your wireless speed:

    -Walls
    -Distance
-Other wireless devices, or devices that emit radiation (Microwaves, cordless phones, baby monitors and etc.)

    Other things could be:
-your computer is just plain slow
-there are too many people connected to the wireless at the same time
-your internet connection is slow either in general, or just temporarily

    More advanced (and unlikely) reasons:
-your network adapter has been forced to operate at a slower speed
-your router is set to operate at a slower speed in its configurations
Not finding what you are looking for?
