I purchased the SE32HY19T for my daughter's room 2 weeks ago and we could set up the wireless fine (despite having a WEP-2 we learned you have to choose 'MIXED' on the tv and then it accepted our wifi password). Wifi is strong in her room, my issue is every time we turn the tv off and back on again, we have to reset the wifi. I wish there was a way to 'save' it. Any thoughts would be great. I sent an email to Seiki but no response, no surprise.

It isn't unusual for flatscreen tv to lose the wireless connection. Go through the tv's wireless setup instructions again. If it keeps losing the connection, the tv is probably near the edge of the wireless signal's ability. If that is the case, moving the tv closer to the router, or getting a better router, are really your only choices. This is assuming that the wireless in your tv is working properly.

Having said that for generic flat screen tvs, one might point out that the Seiki SE32 series is NOT "smart" and does NOT support DLNA so outside of firmware updates to the tv itself I'm not sure what else one might do with it. You could plug in your laptop via one of the HDMI ports and "surf on the big screen" as it were. If one were to check the Amazon site for this model, one would find it is a dog in this department.

If I may make a suggestion, the Visio E241i-B1 may only be 24" but it works like a charm as both a 1080P tv and a computer monitor. I bought one to temp as a monitor while changing computers and it worked mucho caliente! And it updated itself over the wireless (which is never dropped even on my less-than-ideal DSL line). The kicker? On Amazon, it is cheaper than the Seiki. ( http://www.amazon.com/VIZIO-E241i-B1-24-Inch-1080p-Smart/dp/B00HZI0Y0Q/ )

If you are really wanting a 32" I would recommend the Visio E320i-B2 ( http://www.amazon.com/VIZIO-E320i-B2-32-Inch-720p-Smart/dp/B004HG056M/ ). Same family as the 24" just bigger but only 720P (like the Seiki). But ... it's $250. As usual, you get what you pay for.

MY SEIKI 32'TV SE32HY19T KEEPS TURNING OFF . IT STAYS ON MAYBE A MINUTE THEN TURNS ITSELF OFF. POWER OUTLET IS FINE AND SLEEP TIMER IS OFF. HOW DO I CHECK THE AUTO STANDBY

The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device; in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.

After you get tv/lap top working together can you remove the cables

That depends on how you are connecting. If you are connecting over network and both devices are wireless and connecting to the same network, then yes. But if that was the case, you likely would not have had to wire them together in the first place. How exactly are these two devices connected together?

This is just a problem with the wireless settings of the router, you can try first to reset the router by pressing the reset button for 20 seconds while power is ON and then after that you should be able to find the default wireless name of the router which is linksys, after you reset the router just need to reconfigure it back...

Router issues?

If you haven't made any changes and suddenly your wireless connection has stopped working than these are the signs that your router is offline.
Now first of all check that on your router have you got the dsl or the internet light solid if it's not solid then it could be a problem with your broadband line...check with your isp whether the signals are there on the line or not.
Now, if the signals are there then...
1) Do a complete power cycle of your router unplug all cables from your router replug them then check....

if still you are not able to open up any pages on ie...then reset your router to default settings...
in order to reset your router at the back of your router you will find a small hole that is the reset hole press the pin in that hole for 10secs that will reset your router....restart both of your comps....
Now, if you are using windows xp then
click start>control panel>in control panel click on switch to classic view>after that click on network connections>
in network connections you'll find wireless network connections....right click on wireless networks..
then click view wireless networks you'll get an option of belkin wireless network..select it and press connect....
once it says connected close all the screens and run the router installation disc that you got with your router .....you will be able to connect..

If you are on windows vista then
click start>then in start menu click connect to you'll find belkin network select it and press connect once connected run the router installation disc...
