Remove or open the vent at the bottom of the machine
Get a towel and a large baking tray or something similar
Place the towel underneath the vent and the tray to catch the water
Turn the filter slowly until u see water coming out, when the water slows down pull the filter out.
Clean out whatever is in there and replace the filter
FA is the emergency shutoff switch that detects when water is pooling underneath the machine (a leak) You may have to remove the back of the machine to check the float switch underneath. Empty any water from the catch tray and check for leaks.
USE A FLASHLIGHT TO SEE UP IN THERE, YOU WILL NEED TO PICK UP ON THE FRONT OF THE TRAY , THESE ARE DESIGNED TO EMPTY THEM SELVES, BUT SOMETIMES WHEN THE DOOR GETS LEFT OPEN, IT IS OVERCOME WITH WATER AFTER THE AROMATIC DEFROST CYCLE, DOES IT'S THING.. A WET DRY VAC IS NICE WHEN CLEANING OUT ONE OF THESE WITH A FULL TRAY= LESS SPLASHING .. JAY
Hi,
Yes, it is to have water in it...the coils evaporate the water and the water helps the refrigerant system to work a bit more efficiently...
Do not worry about it the water is good!! :-)
i had this awhile agow it was that the underneath drip tray was full of water touching electrics SO SWITCH OFF PLUG MAINS BEFORE YOU START ANYTHING had to empty tray and dry out with hairdryer no problems since then
you need to get to the back of fridge and ul notice a tray full of water ontop of the compressor. remove tray and empty water out. when replacing v important to make sure it is sitting level on compressor again.
there is also an underlaying prob here, maybe alot of condensation on shelves also??
ensure doors are closing properly and saels are in good shape, also avoid putting warm food in fridge and make sure liquids are covered. this should stop tray filling with water and leaking
there should be a tray that guides water from freezer to a drain located in the fridge section normally held with one screw . take it off and unclog drain ( use a vacuum to **** out sludge) clean tray/guide and mount back on. make sure all moisture is cleaned out after drain is cleared.
