Find a local MTD dealer, lawn mower repair shop, they should be able to get you one. The Cub Cadet is made by MTD.

If this is a hydrostatic drive, and it probably is, the transmission is sealed at the factory and requires no maintenance.

After a period time, my cub cadet push mover won't start.

I would be a spark tester on first, see if your getting spark, mabey bad coil or wire. If your getting spark I would have the carb checked out.

Problem with left side hydrostatic transmission

This is a well documented problem with cub cadet ZT transmissions. They tend to go bad after 200 hours of use. Sometimes having the dealer change the transmission oil will help (they need to remove the transmissions to do this!). Most times, the transmission is gone & must be replaced ($800-$900).

Sound to me like a design defect. My ZT-50 lasted only 4 years. Needless to say, the replacement was not a cub cadet.

Cub Cadet tractor failure to move

Check the bypass for the transmission, make sure it is in all the way, if it is, check the belt from the engine to the transmission, make sure the belt tension spring is riding on the belt and that the belt is tight.

Transmission oil ? for cub cadet tractor

Hi, Cissy, Every Cub Cadet is different, and they keep their manuals to themselves. With your exact model and serial number, you can go to their website and view the manual for your model which should have the type of oil you need. Their website is www.cubcadet.com and go to service. If you have trouble, let me know, but I will need the model and serial. Good Luck, this should Fixya!
