Perhaps the rechargeable battery for your Nextbook has reached the end of its lifespan and needs to be replaced. Rechargeable batteries do not last forever.
Be sure to purchase the right battery for your Nextbook.
Even rechargeable batteries are no longer rechargeable. I suggest you purchase a replacement battery. From a number of reviews I have found about the power station, the rechargeable battery life is about 2 years, maximum.
The quality of the battery determines the life of the battery. If the laptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced. Rechargeable batteries will fail if stored in a discharged state for long periods.

I suggest you Google the Internet for the rechargeable battery you require.
most companies recommend 24 hours charge time unless otherwise state in the manuals for the camera or rechargeable batteries. while with some cameras or rechargeable batteries you may be able to use right out of the box! also if are using third party rechargeable batteries then you should follow the instructions of the battery maker.
Hi, Here is the relevant text as found in the instructions:"Plug the mini USB end of the supplied USB charge cable to the charge socket on the Sonic Screwdriver Remote Controller (SSRC) and other end [ their error, not mine -KP ] of the charge cable to the Wii console. A red LED charge indicator is on when charging. When the battery is fully charged, the red LED automatically turns off. Charge time is between 2 to 3 hours and a fully charged battery has between 6 to 12 hours of playtime.""The Wii Console must be ON for the SSRC to be able to recharge its battery. It will not recharge when the Wii Console is OFF or in Stand-by Mode."" Charging : LED lights up"" Full charge : LED goes out"Hope this works for you. Keith Pyne
Rechargeable lithium batteries have a half-life of about three years. That means half of the capacity is gone is three years - another quarter in another three years. Replacement batteries can be found online. Even if your battery is not that old, this is the most likely reason for short run-life.
It is often possible to get the chemicals in the battery refilled by an online vendor. This is not only cheaper and makes the battery, literally "better than new", but is also easier on the environment.
The battery is dead, even new lead-acid batteries can be no good if they have been sitting for awhile, you can contact Black and Decker for Warranty or to purchase a new battery. Here is the link;
