My Duracell battery charger has a blinking red
I had the same problem with flashing red lights. Both sides on a four battery charger. I swapped the batteries to another charger and the batteries were fine. They charged normally. I put some different batteries in the charger and the same flashing light situation. Those batteries also charged normally in a different charger. I looked closely at the back of the charger and, low and behold, "made in China". Why does that not surprise me. The bottom line, it may not be a battery issue.

your lucky then,,, they take 16 hourse to fully charge unless you rapid charge them? a nasty thing to do to a new battery? all ways slow charge them first,,
never fast charge any battery only charge at whats called "the C10 rate!" they live much longer that way,
in other words slow charge when first charge,,,faster after that! ok,, did you not know you must "form the cells first" before you use them?
I bought KODAK NiMH 2400 mAh and it isn't
NiMH tends to have a "memory". What this means is that the batteries will get used to being only charged and discharged a certain amount. What could be happening is that the battery THINKS it is charged when it is not... or.. it THINKS it is discharged when it is not. You can try to recondition them:
- Charge them
- reset the charger and charge again
- put them in your device and drain them
- let them sit, drain them again
- recharge them
- drain them again
Do this a few times. If you don't notice an improvement, you may want to consider getting a new set of batteries - I would recommend lithium rechargeables.
