Jensen VR187 radio/backup camera observation monitor won't work
We have a 2007 Bounder Diesel Motorhome equipped with a Jensen VR187 radio/backup camera with color observation monitor. Once before the radio wouldn't turn on nor would the backup camera work. (Screen wouldn't come on at all.) While in for maintenance, we had dealer look at it. Dealer fixed radio/camera. Told us that they simply "reset" the radio. We have found the manual for the unit online, but can't find the term "reset" in it. Anyone have any ideas?
Re: Jensen VR187 radio/backup camera observation monitor...
In the manual look on page 10 step 10. You have to use a ball point pen and straightened paper clip (better) to reset the unit. There is a small hole at the lower left of the Volume knob. That's where you insert the paper clip.

1. If the radio / i-pod is on- turn it off. 2. Hit the 'mode' button until the time flashes (it should be 3 times). 3. Use the Tun +/- button to change the hour. 4. Use the Volume +/- to change the minutes. 5. Click through the rest of the options to change between setting the alarm, how to be woken up (chime, ipod, etc), 12/24 hour format, year, and date.
Make sure you do not have it in Video Mode or Cable mode. Check the menu and see if you have the brightness/contrast/color and see where they are. if they are below 0 then you will have black screen. also, your state might have changed to digital programming so you will only get Canada stations only.
Sirius Ready means that there is another piece the company makes that is for sale seperately from the reciever. you need to get the whole sirius system and it will just plug in and play through your existing setup.
