Hay register it with at the xbox web site go to the customer service section then it will ask if you need to check a repair aquire a repair click that one then go fill out the online form it will then ask you what the problem is click the one that says ring of death continue filling out the info it will then ask how fast you want it shipped choose the normal shipping since its free xbox will ship you a box by ups once it has been confirmed it you should get the box in a few days it comes with everything you need to ship it dont send any thing but the console no hard drive nothing then once it is packed take it to a ups store and drop it off when my 360 did this i got it back in about 4-5 days even tho it said 2 weeks
Those lights are part of the red ring of death. if all lights are lit to make a circle then ur 360 will most likely be trashed... if that happens try contacting the x box help line to see if you are able to get a new one..
I think the three red light are over heating problems, if your console is un opened i think Microsoft are fixing them for free or you could find a repair shop and they could do the xclamp fix but Microsoft is the best bet.

When someone say that his/her Xbox is having 3 red lights
problem, It means it needs to be repaired. If you are using Cooler than
it is not a cure but a prevention. You could have used cooler before
acutally having the problem just to prevent your Xbox. But now you will
have to either get it repaired from Microsoft (in case your Xbox's
warranty is not expired, but one thing to note is that you will have to
wait for at least 3-4 weeks to get back your Xbox) or you can Fix your
Xbox's 3 Flashing red lights problem yourself with the help of DIY Video guide available on Internet. You can fix yourself without any technical knowledge.
