My ac adapter does not work on my psp so i bought a new one and it still does not work i even tried a charger that plugs into a pc but that didnt work either. its completly dead so i cant charge it with usb. it does charge with external battery charger but i lost it. but want to know if why i cant charge it with ac adapter. its a hassle having to reset everything cause i have to take battery out every day.

The battery may be dead so chand the battery

It sounds like your DC - in jack may be bad or have a loose connection. Does your psp power up with just the ac adapter attached without the battery? If not then you may just need to replace the dc-in jack. If you can, open up your psp and check to see if the connection is just loose, but if the jack is bad you can find one online pretty cheap. Check out portatronics.com, I think they have it for like $10.
