You need to go into Control Panel, Hardware and Sound, under Sound click Manage audio devices, under the Playback tab your USB sound should be listed, right click on it and set as default device. Than you should get sound from it. The reason being is unless you do that the onboard sound remains as default and cancels out the USB stick.
Every time you plug the USB sound in it should automatically become the default sound, than when you unplug the usb sound it switches back to the onboard sound.

I HAVE PCI SOUND CARD THAT IS NOT WORKING NOR ITIS COMPATIBLE WITH ANY DRIVER

I would check the manufacturer's website for drivers, or try the windows hardware installation wizard. Generally PCI sound cards are generic enough to be plug and play.

My Canon SLR screen display's "No card" eventhough

Your card needs to be formatted to the camera. Once the memory card is opened on a computer to look at or download the pictures the card needs to be formatted to the camera it is going to be used in so the camera and card and properly communicate between each other.

THERE IS NO NEC VERSAPRO VA12J LAPTOP HOWEVER SOUND ICON APPEARED. RECENTLY I HAD RELOADED WINDOWS.

Hi Arvind,
I gues it might be a problem with the sound driver. Eventhough the icon is shown, at times it wont work if the required files are missing. So, this can be resolved by installing the right audio driver for your device. If you have the driver disc that came with the computer, you can use it for installin the driver from it. Otherwise you can also search in the internet for the particular sound device.

Cheers!!! Have a nice day!!!

Creative sound card! no sound!

Check whether you plugged in the speaker wire into the correct jack at the back of the computer (it should go into the green colored jack on the sound card).

Did you try playing a sound file? Does media player show the file as playing, but you can't hear anything? Or do you get any error? if there's any error, please mention the error.

If the sound plays but you can't hear anything, again, check the speakers are connected to the correct sound jack. Next, try connecting a pair of headphones or earphones (lower the volume before playing any sound  or music file).

If you still can't hear anything, click Start and type the command "dxdiag" in the Run box and then press the Enter key. In the dxdiag window, click the Sound tab. Check the Notes box, if it gives any error info. If your card is working, it should say 'No problems found." You can also test the sound using the "Test Directsound" button.

If you still can't hear any sound, you should check and reinstall your sound card driver manually after removing it first.

There may be other problems. For more information, check this nice blog post about sound problems.

Hope that helps.

Raspal
