I just got my Diploma in electronic engineering (city and guilds) so I may be able to fix the problem myself.

Electrolytic Capacitors hold a charge for weeks, sometimes months. They should be -> Correctly discharged, before operating on a unit that contains them. Like a power supply for an LCD monitor. They could discharge to you!

This kind of trouble is very common to all LCD monitors. your inverter is shutting down. please check all capacitors at the power supply some are badged or blown on top due to hot pressure inside.

I had a similar problem. I replaced the the 2sc5707 transistors. ( I had to use MJE3055T instead because I couldn't find the originals.)

It now works OK for a couple of hours before it seems to overheat and switch off again.

Check the joints on the transformers - apparently they're often dry.

Go to a service center. it is not a problem what you can solve by your self. the monitor's built in power supply is damaged.

I'm trying to set up BenQ FP71G+ as a second monitor connecting to Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT. I cannot get the BenQ to display even if it is the only monitor connected. However, I can see the BenQ in...

I have had problems occasionally with connecting a second monitor, too. Hook up both monitors. In the Windows control panel, look up display (or right click on your desktop and select display). Is the second monitor shown? If not, click "detect" and see if it shows up. I have had a couple times where I clicked on the monitor icon in "display" and then clicked "enable this monitor" and it started working. If not, then try switching the cords so your working monitor is the second one. try again and see if it show up. If not, the problem is probably with the video card or video card driver. Try and update the driver for your card.https://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-8800-gt
If this does not work, the issue is probably the card.

Benq 567s lcd monitor does not power up. Switch led blinks but goes dead. Tried replacing capacitor 450v 82uf with 400v 100 uf but did not work. please help.

That cap is for the Primary power supply switching circuits. How is the DC secondary side, no blown fuse, shorted transistors in the inverter circuits? Pictures will help, [email protected]

When i turn on my monitor it shows my desktop then shuts off after 10 seconds...never stays on

elainenemeth, Hi, Tell me more! How old is this LCD monitor? Is it out of warranty? Did the "SHUT-DOWN-IMMEDIATE" problem occur without warning? Did the BenQ display a "perfect" image the day before? Did you actually count----1001, 1002----1010 and then it shut down, after pushing the monitor on button. Did you do the "flashlight" test? With monitor connected to a "known-good", fully booted pc with Win Desktop displayed, TURN ON the monitor! Did it display the desktop for 1-2-10 seconds ? What did you see or not see when you pointed the flashlight at different angles about 1-2" inches from the now dark (black) screen? Get back to me with your results. I will offer the best advice possible to you as a consumer/user of LCD/FPD monitor. I'm louie12fix on fixya or lmistyrel @ aol.com Bye for now.

Benq FP71G+S NOt starting.

Hello
I have had this problem twice once at my school and once with my BenQ FP71G Monitor. At my school the monitor ( HP ) just stopped working and smelt like burnt popcorn.(though is think this is due to some kids chucking a soccer(football) ball at it! With my BenQ it has the same problem though i nownthink it is because of the monitor has been on for excessive hours ( 3-4 ) and just shut down because of overheating. I will see in a couple of hours if it works !
