Pioneer avh-p7500 switch live

Ive today bought a pioneer avh-p7500 from a con man on ebay which had all the bus wires cut luckily i had a old unit that got water into it a couple of years ago the model was a 6500 but the cables were the same so i fit these in and goto the shoop and buy a power lead 45 quid.
getting excited i plug into the car without the face on and the little light on the front flashes.
so i pops the face on and nothing not a flicker a noise nothing so i presume the switch live has gone.
i know a little about car audio and i know there is a transister that basically acts like a light switch on the 6500 there is 1 on the 7500 there are 2 im just wondering if this is where i should be looking.
my only fear is that when " the ebayers cousin took it out of his car " ******** he has burnt the entire unit cutting through the bus leads.but i cant smell any burnt out internalls

PLEASE HELPPPPPP

I dont know too much about these, but what i do know is, most of these units have a small 1 amp continuous blow glass fuse inside the unit, i would have a look to see if yours has it, and also look for any signs of over-heating on the PCB

ON A PIONEER CAR UNIT MODEL AVHP49000DVD , I BOUGHT IT USED , THEN HAD TO BUY A POWER PLUG FROM PIONEER WITH A WIRING DIAGRAM , PUT IT IN MY 2006 GMC TRUCK WITH A FACTORY WIRING ADAPTER IT WILL NOT COME...

You will need to connect the pioneer unit to a switched ignition wire from the ignition switch. The 2006 GM factory radio only has a constant B+ (orange wire) and ground (black wire). The factory radio turns on when the Body Control Module (BCM) sends the radio a turn-on signal (on a data communication line) when the key is turned on. Your pioneer unit won't talk to the truck's BCM, and will need you to wire a switched B+ feed to it that turns on in the ignition accessory and run positions.

Problem wirings for Pioneer AVH-P6500DVD Car DVD Player

very easy fix. you can pay thirty bucks on ebay and buy the bypass kit or make it yourself. but the light green wire on the harness has to be hooked up to ground. just hook the light green wire to the chassie of the car and you will be able to see dvds all the time. If you want to buy the kit its not really needed I have a toggle switch on mine just for turning it on and off when I am driving. simple as putting a wire from your chassie of the car(Ground) and then the other from the unit(light green wire) to a switch. hooking it up from Supply to Acc on the switch.

Blank face when unit is upright.

what you need is called a flex ribbon for the unit. Its a cable of flat wires that will be attached from the screen to the head unit.
you can find them on Ebay for like $60 or $70 but that will fix the problem with it. I had that same problem with my AVH-6500dvd and bought the flex ribbon and then I installed it myself but it was not a simple task to do. I would recomend taking it somewhere to get fixed.

Avh-p5700 pioneer

My first suggestion is to not purchase "used" electronics from eBay. I bought the same kind of unit from eBay... and mine is broken too. I got a cell phone, car stereo, and a remote.. they were all not working properly when I received them.

Did you try the restart button. It is a small, pin size button on the right-side of the unit near the 4-way select buttons. My player wouldn't eject a cd either, and when I pushed the restart button with a pin, the cd ejected and the unit was ok for playing cds... that's about it
