What are the ohms of the subs? Are they single or dual voice coils??? But FYI you can bridge the amps together, You have to use them separate one sub on each one. You can't run one sub on 2 amps.

Is my 1200 pioneer amp a good match for my 1200 watt pioneer sub

this is too close, your speaker wattage is alway's higher than your amplifier's wattage alway's to be safe because the hard pounding will make the speaker work harder, and this will cause your speaker burn out easily, though you can adjust your amplifier anyway's

What kind amp should be use for ts-w307d2 subwoofer speaker?

Nice sub, i have 2 308d4s in my car. Okay this sub is a dual coil 2 ohm. so to get best bang for your buck you'll want a 2 channel amp and bridge it. Your sub is 400 watts RMS, So you'll want an amp that has the same rating. I'd recommend the pioneer GM-5400t. Then wire your voice coils in parallel, and bridge your amp, you'll get 380 watts RMS, which is perfect for this sub. If you have questions on wiring or anything you can just ask. thanks, i hope this helps

Hi i have two 10'' jenson xs sub and they are about 6 years old and i was wondering wut amp size i should buy to run them.

I believe these are 4ohms, if so buy a 2ohm stable monoblock amp, that puts out 250-300 watts RMS, and connect your subs to it in parallel, don't pay attention to peak watts, look at RMS watts, or continuous watts. If they're 2 ohms, buy a 2 ohm stable 2 channel amp that puts out 125-150 watts RMS per channel, and 250-300 watts total or bridged RMS output. And connect them normally, on sub per channel... hope this helps, as far as brand recommendations, MTX, pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood... Good luck

Amps on woofers are fine just won't hit

your probably making your amp run to low ohms if its a 2 channel amp bridged to one channel you can probably only run it at four ohms

Also seeing as your subs are 2ohm dvc you can't wire them individually to 2ohm and use each channel separately. So i'd recommend buying a 2ohm stable monoblock or running it at four ohms. a 1400 watt amp'll still pound at 4ohms and it'll extend your amp's life span

What amp do i need to power a Polk Audio db1040DVCin brigded connection, i only plan to run one sub, i want to bridge the sub for better sound quality, and i'm buying straight polk, what do i need

Hello oran1891,

OK, you don't bridge subs. You bridge amps, if they are capable of being bridged (not all are).

Bridging is a method of connecting the channels of a multi-channel amp in such a way that the amp delivers the output of 2 stereo channels into a single mono load.

The Polk DB1040DVC is a sub with dual 4ohm voice coils. You can wire the voice coils to present a final 2ohm load (parallel) or a final 8ohm load (series). The rated power range is 50-270 watts RMS. Since you can parallel the voice coils and have them present a 2ohm load to the amp, you are looking for an amp that provides a minimum of 50 and a maximum of 270 (round it up to 300) watts into a 2ohm load. The Rockford-Fosgate Punch 300.1 shown here for $170 seems tailor made for your Sub. If you can make do with less power and want to spend a little less money, the Orion Cobalt CO500.1 will deliver 250 watts RMS at 2ohms and you can buy it for $140. The punch is a better deal. If you decide to add another sub later, it will power them both with 150 watts each, a little low, but still decent. If you want a 2-channel bridgeable amp, I'd recommend the Kicker 08DX3002 shown here for $200. Note that in bridged mode, it is not stable at 2ohms, only down to 4ohms.

Hope this helps.

I need instructions connecting my car subwoofers

Bridging your amplifier @ 4 ohm will yield the most power.... with the subwoofers you have.
You must wire them in Parallel.
Positive on both subwoofers to + on amplifier.
Negative on both subwoofers to - on amplifier.
The lowest impedence possible with 8 ohm woofers is 4 ohms.

Wiring my kicker solo-baric 15's

The best you can do is connect the dual 2 ohm voice coils of each respective sub in series (4 ohms total per sub) and then connect each sub to one channel of the amp. This will give each sub 1000W, which is the rated maximum from Kicker.
