UL is displayed when the machine/motor control detects an off-balance load and remains on while the washer runs a mini-cycle to rebalance the load.
Display clears if mini-cycle successfully rebalanced the load.
If the mini-cycle is unsuccessful, uL will flash until the lid is opened, allowing the customer to view and redistribute the load

There has been a noted problem with the Kenmore Oasis and the "Out of Balance" or "Ob" error. If this is what you are experiencing, the problem has been attributed to a couple of things. Not having sufficient amount of clothes in the wash tub during a wash cycle. That is...smaller loads cause a problem when the washer tries to distribute he weight evenly in the spin cycle. Not enough clothes, no balanced weight, you get an Out of Balance indication. The other problem (which tends to be the more common issue) is the control board under the operator console. The manufacturers developed a new software to run on the new and improved control boards that is supposed to correct this problem. Double check your load distribution first (which it seems you already have), then check with the manufacturer to see if there may be a recall on your washer that corrects this problem at no cost to the consumer. I hope this helps you some.

The sensing is done by measuring the motor amp draw. If the motor amp draw is high that is an indication of a heavy loaded washer which could cause the motor to overheat OR too much soap being used, OR the wrong soap being used, OR something between tubs. If you is getting an OL and the clothes is not the problem then you may have an item lodged between the tubs. You must remove the inner tub and get that thang outta there. Cabrio service manual

it is extremely unlikely that clothes have got to the position you mentioned
unbalance comes from
1--- clothes out of balance in the tub--too much on one side
2--machine not level on the floor --- rubber feet missing from adjuster bolts
3-- suspension rods and insulators for the tub broken or missing
these suspension rubbers/ plastics break on a regular basis and allow the tub to sit at an unlevel state causing an unbalance situation when spinning
top covers are either held in place with screws at the front and back ( under plastic trim buttons ) or simply clip on to the side walls at the top
talk with a service agent as to how to remove the top or download a workshop manual for the machine from the net
