Insert the os disc in some cases systems come with a system recovery disc if this is not the case just insert what you have shutdow your system when your system boots press the del,f2,or whatever hotkey your system uses to enter the bios menu then while in bios go to boot devices or boot options and click start from cd and then press f10 to save and exit your system will ask yes no click yes then it should restart and a white text should appear saying boot from disc ? click any button when os finnally loads it will ask you to install or to repair ?click repair this searches your system finds out what it's lacking and reloads it .this should be it hope this helps good luck

If you are receiving this error message after running the HP Recovery DVD and Operating System Disks, I would recommend testing your hard drive for physical errors. It is possible that coincidently your hard drive decided to give up at the time of reinstallation.

Download one of these Hard Drive diagnostic programs on another computer and run it on your unit.

My HP pavillion ze4805us system speed keeps changing from 509mhz to 2.12 ghz, why does it do this?

Most laptops vary teh speed of the porcessor as needed, as a power saving measure. Less speed uses less power.

When the laptop is idle it drops the speed and increases as more is needed.

Do you have the Restoration Disk?

You have corrupted basic Windows files. How? Windows is a funny animal. That, and viruses just drive Windows users crazy.

The Restoration (CD) Disk has the basic Windows files. You can do a Repair.
Start the computer, insert the Restoration Disk in the optical drive. Close the drive tray.
When asked perform a Non-Destructive Installation.

Don't have the Restoration Disk?

Contact HP Support.
The disk/s are free. The shipping and handling is not.
In the US the phone number is 1-800-474-6836

It's $17 for a 5 to 7 day ship, $24 for a 2 to 3 day ship.

Not in the US?

HP Pavillion DV9000t ''Unrecoverable error has occured''

The recovery disk is defective so the install is bad. Install using another disk (even a generic retail one of the same type will do) and your key.

Upgrading hdd in hp ze4805us to 250GB WD -- Won't Boot

since your bios says theirs a limit to HDD capacity you may want to try making the 250GB disk into 2 smaller partitions. Then extract your OS image to the first partition.

HP Pavillion Programs freezing

Suggest restoring the system to factory settings. You will lose all of your data so back it up first.

Restore is either on disks or on recovery partition of hard drive. If you have recovery disks put first one in and reboot computer.

When the computer starts you should see an option to hit F10 for System Restore/Recovery. Hit F10, click advanced settings and choose Destructive Restore. Follow the prompts.

Will need to reload all programs after restore is done that did not come with computer such as Office.

Hope this helps.
Thanks!
