Most laptops vary teh speed of the porcessor as needed, as a power saving measure. Less speed uses less power.

When the laptop is idle it drops the speed and increases as more is needed.

You may need to update the bios. It may need to be flashed. This will need to be performed by someone who has extensive computer knowledge. The primary function of the bios in a computer is to load the operating system. It determines what type of hardware you computer has. A current bios is stored in a bios chip located on the motherboard of the computer. It is also known as firmware. It can be downloaded on the HP web site and the flashing performed by yourself but be careful to read how it is performed included in the documentation. Otherwise you could cause your computer not to start at all. Be careful if you are undertaking this task.

Pavillion ze4805us no start-up

Yes, your best option is to call the manufacturers help and support so you will have documentation that it has not worked since you bought it. If they cannot fix it over the web, then you have a record of that also. Then pack it up and send it back for a replacement or a refund..what is happening should never happen and you'll probably always have problems with it. Do not open it and play with it as you will lose your warranty.

Hp pavillion ze4800

It is only secure sites that you have a problem accessing? Are you behind a firewall or a router? if so TCP port 443 is probably being blocked by something.
Good luck,

Heat Sink/Processor Fan

This doesn't neccesarily indicate a problem. Just to be sure, Check your systems temperatures in your notebooks BIOS.

Press F10 when the HP Invent logo shows up when you boot it.

Do not forget that a notebook generates a lot of heat. Since all internal components are literally packed. A notebook is fully filled with parts.

At what point does the fan return to normal? And at what point does it speed up?

Greetings,
