Xbox 360 wont read my games only dvds and cds

Ok like 2 yrs ago there was a electrical malfunction and burnt down my trailor i happen to save my xbox 360 after the fire was put out i only had it 4 a yr before the fire i cleaned it up and every thing but now it will only read dvd's and cd's no games everytime i put a game in it says please put this game into a xbox 360 hard drive i dont know what to do?

That means it wants you to save it to the harddrive and play it there but i suggest you take it to get repaired or buy a new one

If you have a flash drive, go to your pc and download the songs onto your flash drive and plug it in to your xbox.

It waill play cds but it wont read games or dvds.

If you do not have a mode chip it will not play either of them. Google mods for xbox 360.

It wont read 360 games but it reads original Xbox games

cd drive error, if its an older xbox thats what it would be, either that or disk read error thing, i would suggest taking it in somewhere and have people look at it. or check the xox 360 games to see if there are any big scratches. that would be a big problem if there r scratches.

Your laser either needs to be cleaned or is going bad. I have seen this many times before. Try taking the drive apart and cleaning the laser aperture with 91% alcohol and a cotton swab (carefully). If that doesn't work then you need to replace the laser (or get a new drive).

Games want play but cds and dvds do

there is a problem with your firmware please flash it if you have modded your xbox 360(putting pirated disks)please go to same shop where have you modded because he only can have your original dvd key if you have not modded it go to any official microsoft service centre

Xbox wont read any games,Or dvds.

well its MS fault anyway and if it doesnt work and you have done nothing wrong to stop your xbox working then MS should replace it free of charge. my uncles did something similar to that and eh told MS and they replaced it
