I am in South Africa and have been given a new toner cartridge from a European visitor. When installed my printer says " error cartridge incompatible" How do I solve this? JJ
Bar code on used toner is MLT-D1052L/SEE and on the new MLT-D105L/ELS. JJ
Re: I am in South Africa and have been given a new toner...
If there is a possibility to set your printer to the region that the toner cartridge is used in, then that most likely is the only option. For example if this cartridge is for European machines, set your printer location to "Europe" http://www.303electronics.com/

Then you still might have a bad toner cartridge. Try the following in the EXACT order:
1 Pull out the toner cartridge.
2 close the printer back up and let it recognize that there is not toner cartridge.
3 turn the printer oss
4 insert the new toner cartridge
5 turn the printer back on.
if the above fails you will need a new cartridge, preferably a different brand.
