Only thing you can do at this point is to go the manufacturer website for your product and look for the software update. But don't hold your breath - they prefer to sell you a new one!
Your product is simply not compatible with the new OS. Perhaps you should never have updated since that usually causes more problems. Only time to ever update an OS is because a program that you want to use commands it. Otherwise always best to leave alone.
not sure if this helps or you have already done just making sure , but have you downloaded any drivers for the mp3 player?
if not i would reccomend doing a google search for SMPV 2GB drivers and look there i would but do not want to link you to a bad site . if you have please ignore this and hope it gets fixed
I FOUND THE SOLUTION! Hi. If you're like me you just bought one of Mach Speed's mp3/media players (I have the Trio/Eclipse Model G2, it looks like the Ipod Nano). I bought it at Big Lots for about $30. Everything works except i can't get video to play on it! Here's what i found after hours of trial and error: Seems mine (hopefully this will work for yours) will ONLY play either FLV or RM files. If you have AVI or other kinds of video files you can use this great software to convert to FLV: http://download.cnet.com/Koyote-Free-FLV-Converter/3000-2194_4-10832044.html?tag=mncol It's free and it won't put a watermark on the video...which is great 'cause all the other free ones out there will. Anyway i hope this helps.

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

Download the Sansa Recovery Tool from the Sansa website.
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/DriverDownloads.aspx
