Unplug the machine for 5 min's is the only reset. Most likely the control panel is defective.

SOURCE: Sharp microwave oven LCD display malfunctions

Might or might not work. IT worked for me.

This is a common problem. i havent completly solved it yet but this helps.

Be very careful doing this, There is Voltages with AMPERAGES high enough to boil your blood inside a microwave.

I had mine apart cleaning it. Only one number worked on my display. I wiggled and messed around with the wires in the back of the display. And almost every number in the display works again. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Sharp Insight Pro microwave drawer KB6024MS not working

The drawer often stops working when it is abruptly stopped while opening and forced closed or vice-versa. To fix, simply do the following:
1) Push the draw all the way closed
2) Push the "Setup" button repeatedly until the "Open/Close ...?" appears.
3) Hold the Start Button until the time reappears in the display.
4) Repeat steps 2 & 3 three more times
5) Unplug the Microwave for 30 minutes.
The drawer is now reset. The drawer will now open electronically (automatically) either by pushing the open button on the panel or by pulling the drawer handle slightly.

I have a Sharp Insight Pro KB6025MS. the power is not on but it is plugged in...whatis wrong? -

have you checked your breaker to make sure it is on? If it is then check at the plug and see if you are getting power to the stove.

Drawer tries to close and then opens

I would suspect that a foreign object may have gotten in the pathway of the drawer, the drawer actuator is out of adjustment, or one of the door sensor switch is damaged, defective, or off its mount.

The service manual is at our site here.

You can order Sharp parts from Encompass here.

Sharp microwave 8888 is flashing and I cannot remove

see this steps and fix it. God bless you

Reset the clock. Press "Clock" and the correct time, using the number pads. Press "AM/PM" if applicable, and press "Start" or "Clock" to confirm.

  • 2 Press "Timer On/Off" to reset the timer if nothing on the touch pad will operate. Use the number pads to select a new timed amount, if desired, and press "Timer On/Off" to start. Press again to cancel.
  • 3 Press and hold "Clear/Off" for three seconds if the timer will not function or is blinking when you touch the pads. This will release the "Child Lock" feature. Make a new touch pad selection.
  • 4 Disconnect power to the microwave if following Steps 1 through 3 does not resolve the blinking timer. Wait a few minutes, and then restore power to reset the microwave.

  • However if the problem persist the display board

Comes on but it wont heat up

Mine just started doing this... pushing on the left side of the drawer results in a "click", and then it will actually work. I suspect there is a switch/contact in there that is worn/malfunctioning, but am still researching it.
