Sharp microwave oven LCD display malfunctions

I have a Sharp Carousel microwave oven which has lost most of the LCD display. I'd like to know if I can find a replacement part for it.

I'm not sure if it would require a new control panel of if perhaps an LCD display itself or a computer chip.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Might or might not work. IT worked for me.

This is a common problem. i havent completly solved it yet but this helps.

Be very careful doing this, There is Voltages with AMPERAGES high enough to boil your blood inside a microwave.

I had mine apart cleaning it. Only one number worked on my display. I wiggled and messed around with the wires in the back of the display. And almost every number in the display works again. Hope this helps.

I had the same LCD problem and found Mr. Miller's website (listed in the above response: http://www.microwavedisplay.com).
That was 8 months ago. The microwave works flawlessly since then. Highly recommended and Many thanks for the simple solution.

Thanks articaco. I'm kind of guessing that these boards cost nearly as much as a new microwave. I've been living with this one like this for ages now, as it first deteriorated little by little and now is down to a partial display of the two right digits. I priced one for my microwave and it came in at $150.  My microwave is about 11 years old. I was just hoping I could fix it with something simple and cheap.

It's not getting heat and LCD looks like there's water inside.

On most Sharp Carousel Microwaves, the display stops working after time. As for the not getting any heat, the magnetron or the high voltage transformer may not be working.

Hi our Sahrp Carousel microwave LCD panle display is not working

You have to replace the control board. Sharp has had problems with the display boards for awhile. There is no bulb or fuse you can change.
