Where do you put the oil in a MURRAY 500-Mulch.

I have two push mowers. One has the first style and the other has the second style oil dip sticks. You add the oil where the dip stick is at. I want to tell you when you add oil, the oil tend to get on the dip stick when you try to check the level.. To get a good reading on the dip stick you may have to check it 2 or 3 time. Wipe the dip stick each time. When you see the dip stick shows the same level on both sides of the stick(at least close) that is your level. The video with weedeater must be briggs and Stratton engine like my murray. That dip stick is on the muffler side near the back of the engine. Mine has the yellow cap also(I just tighten up with my hand not a wrench). I have had mowers with a cap with two little round rod sticking out the top of the cap. It was lower and more to the center of the mower..

How to check oil on mercedes c200 2008 model

Hi,make shore the car is on level ground, best to do this from cold, you pull the oil dip stick out and clean the oil off the end of the dip stick, you will see marks on the dipstick you wont the level to be just below the top mark,
so put the dip stick all the way back into the tube where the dip stick came out of then check to see if the level is ok,best to check a couple of times untill you are happy with the readings, when you are happy that the oil is correct replace dipstic job done.
all the best.

How much oil needed for lawnflite lg175h oil change

take pencil and paper and quart or more of oil out to your cool engine machine. Add oil in very small quantities, checking with dip stick after each addition until the oil level and the full (cold) level on the dip stick are the same. Cap the filler tube. Now measure the amount left in the new oil containeer and subtract that from the oil container capacity. Write that down and put it an a safe place. You can also mark it somewhere on the machine with indelible ink or paint.

HOW DO YOU CHECK THE OIL LEVEL IN A 1981 HONDA 1100GL

Hello,

There is a dip stick located on the right side of the engine about 4 inches to the front of the oil fill cap.

Make sure you are on level ground. Unscrew the dip stick and wipe it off. Replace the dip stick and then remove again. Check the oil level and replace. If you need to add oil, remove the filler cap and add oil 1 to 2 ounces at a time. Check the oil dip stick to ensure that your oil level is correct.

NOTE: warm up your bike before performing the above checks.

Regards,

Oz

Sputters and spits, backfires some, blowing oil out of carb, no power, recently replaced plugs ( cj8) did not know the proper gap. oil bad on left plug when removed

sounds like blown head gasket. gap is .030 check oil level first do not screw in dip stick just let it hit top of tube. if over full see if it smells like gas if so your float in carb is hanging open. if not over full do compression test to confirm head gasket
