I'm getting an E65 code on my frigidaire affinity dryer. We've replaced the heating element and the fuse. It's still happening. It's been thoroughly cleaned out. What is my next step?

This indicates it is the High Limit Thermostat, which isn't a fuse. Most dryers have three heat related components. They usually trip because of bad airflow, check the hose at the back and the vent in the wall. This is the time that birds make nests in them! Also wash the lint filter with dish soap and a brush. Part No. 33 here

The error code of E65 is a high limit thermostat trip . For Electric Model, check Inlet Thermal Limiter for continuity. If Thermal Limiter is open, check for evidence of high temperature event and any resulting damage. If no further damage is evident, replace Thermal Limiter.

I am getting a error code E64 on Frigidaire affinity model# FASE7021NW0 It still get hot but keeps cutting off, what should I do

Hello friend, that's a great question!

From my understanding your Frigidaire Affinity dryer is displaying an error code of "E64". An "E64" error code stands for the heater circuit is open. This could be a possible problem with your heater, wiring harness, or even a miscommunication within your dryer. In order to clear out any miscommunication you can perform a reset on your dryer and to do that you need to unplug the power cord for at least ten minutes. If this does not help to resolve your issue I would recommend having a professional technician out diagnose and repair your dryer to help avoid any future issues or unnecessary part purchases. Hopefully this information is helpful. -Matt

What is error code E64 and how can it be fix

Good Afternoon Friend, this is Z. Thank you for your inquiry!

Normally error code E64 is an indication that the heater circuit is in the open position. This is not a simple DIY job; I would highly recommend consulting a professional to move forward accurately. The certified technician will need to check the heater coils and connections for open circuits. Depending on the diagnosis the heater or wiring may need replacing.

Dryer wont heat up

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that you are having trouble with your Frigidaire Affinity dryer not heating up. There are some things that you are able to try. First check to make sure that the lint filter, the ducting, and the outside vent, are clear of lint and not constricted in any way. Second, reset your appliance by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your homes circuit breaker for 3-5 minutes. Once power has been restored, run any cycle. If you are still noticing that your dryer is not heating, I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. They should be able to diagnose your dryer and determine why your appliance is not heating. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

One error code after another

This dryer uses the triple element heater unit, these new heater resistance strings are thinner in wire gauge size and tend to burn out easily, you will need to do a continuity test for each element string. Pleazer Appliance...

I have an error code 64 on my dryer. I am out of work doing chemo right now. can anyone tell me what the problem is

If your Frigidaire Affinity dryer is beeping at you and giving you the "E64 CALL SERVICE" business, chances are you have a bad heating element. The good news is, with a screwdriver, a pair of pliers (a multimeter if you have one) and a new heater element you can fix this yourself and save a couple hundred bucks.

Below I outline a step by step process to do this on the Frigidaire Affinity, but this guide may help with other dryers, as they basically all function the same way.

A WORD OF CAUTION: You will be handling a lot of thin sheet metal components. Be careful as it is easy to cut yourself on them.

First you'll want to unplug the dryer. Then disconnect the vent hose and the water feed (if applicable). Be sure and shut off the water valve first, or you'll have a mess!

Yes, I have a 2011 Frigidaire E-Code E-64, if it is the heating element how to change it

Hello William, thank you for your post!

An error code E64 is associated with the heater circuit in the open position. A technician would typically check the heater coils and connections for short circuits to the cabinet to determine if it is the cause of the error code. Depending on the readings, the heater and/or wiring will need replacing. This is not a normal DIY job so you may want to connect with a local servicer to determine the exact diagnosis to help reduce the risk of unnecessary parts. I hope this helps explain the error code you are receiving.

Am getting error code E64 n my Fridgidaire Affinity dryer, and can't find out where I need t check for open circuits.

The E64 indicates a heater open circuit, heating element or burnt wire. If you can give me a model #, I might be able to describe were it is located.
