ViewSonic VA703m 17'' LCD monitor Issue

I would make sure that all the cables are securely connected to both the monitor and the pc computer (screwing the screws from the cable to the port will help hold the cable in). Beyond that, the issue is likely with the monitor and not something that can be fixed by the end user.

If the device is still in warranty (and checking the cables don't work). I would recommend sending it back to ViewSonic to have it fixed.

My monitor has the below message. How do I fix

If your monitor is correctly connected to your pc it will activate when you perform any action on the pc
Check the connection with the pc - plugs at both ends inserted correctly?
If that does not work, try connecting a different monitor, if you can. If that works it is a hardware problem with your monitor. If another monitor does not work, it is a problem with your pc (video output or graphics card)

My monitor keeps going to sleep & can not get computer on. What's wrong & how do I fix it ?

it could be the monitor VGA cord is not properly connected to the PC and the VGA Port on the PC is faulty. Try use the monitor on another working PC and see if the monitor displays, if it displays then your PC VGA cord is bad or the display resolution in the PC is too hight. Or if the monitor does not gives the same problem, replace the VGA cord.

WHEN I SWITCH MY MONITOR ON ITS IT CUTS OUT BUT

I would check the power cable is inserted fully, then check PC to monitor cable is also inserted firmly.

If still same try monitor on another PC as it may be a video fault from PC.If it works OK on another PC then video card / mobo is faulty.
If your PC has a video card shut down PC pull power plug out of PC and remove replace video card, quite often fixes that problem.

I have a Lenovo T400, cannot switch to an external monitor with the Fn/F7, how do I fix this??

f7 key is not always fix in any laptop for switching to external monitor, if there is written lcd/crt on f7 key thats fine. if not try another key by pressing Fn.

if work fine . otherwise check with another unrepaired monitor. some time you can see display in monitor, but it may not work as an external monitor if repaired by local technician.

Monitor turn dark frequently

it sounds like your PC trouble, you may try (it is better to make sure the monitor connect other PC ok)
1) check PC ram, change ram sticks position if there are two ram stick, or change a new ram if only one ram inside. not fix go next
2) check VGA cable connection, reseat the cable. still not fix go next
3) if you use AGP VGA card change VGA cable to onboard VGA interface (setup bios VGA to onboard),
is this helpful to you olease feedback thanks.
